Question Help a girl out :)

Hey y'all...first post but been hiding in the shadows for a little bit. I purchased my SRT6 back in October and I have slowly been having issues with it and I could use some help to get my baby back to good running condition. I have read some other threads to identify problems and get solutions but not sure which solutions are the best. Would appreciate any help.

Symptoms:
ISSUE 1 -
a. Would misfire/lag throttle response during fast acceleration - spiratically for couple months (yes I know I should have looked into this sooner)
b. Loss of throttle at 80mph on the highway - happened once 2 weeks ago
c. Rough idle after "warm" crank - happen once last week
? Is this a misfire issue or bad coil pack? Should I replace plugs and wires?
If replacing the plugs and wires which ones do y'all recommend?

ISSUE 2 -
P0410 code
? Do I need to replace my RCM to fix this?

Thanks again for the help everyone

How many miles?
What have you done to it since you purchased it?
Do you know of anything done before purchase?
Where are you from?
Might be a member close that would be willing to help, happens every once in awhile, someone knowledgeable is close.

The RCM (PO410) can be repaired (I do this). Email me:

tighed1(at)hotmail.com

Or do it yourself by following the RCM Repair link in my signature.

P0410 code secondary air injection problem could be the secondary air pump ground, blue check valve on the pump or most likely the RCM has a bad relay in it. The RCM is $125 to $180 for OEM Mercedes part online.
One of the members Tigh1 rebuilds RCM's for around $25 or so. Search forum for RCM relays and you should get all the correct info on the problem.

Could be the RCM that giving you most of the trouble , get that fix and see what else is going on with it , there should be a big group of Crossfire owners in TX. and I know there a lot of SRT6 owners in the state, check into Crossfire Face book , always help to have few friends close that can help you out

Thanks I found the group on FB. Requested to join.

UPDATE: I changed the spark plugs, started the car ran perfect. Changed the CPS started the car ran fine. Drove 150 miles the next day no issues. THEN.....drove 1 mile to buy coffee, I get back to my car start it up and it is jumping like two rabbits going at it!

Now what? Are y'all saying that fixing the RCM will get rid of this problem?

The P0410 problem will not cause this problem. Are you sure there are no other codes. The RCM can cause intermittent stop and go situations, but they do not fit your pattern, but getting the three common soldered connections resoldered would not hurt.
I am leaning toward fuel filter/fuel pump problems, the pressure regulator may be acting erratically, I'll check some more here. If I recall Valk had similar erratic behaviour.
Are the battery cables clean and tight?

Thanks for the feedback. My battery cables are clean and tight. I did not see any other codes showing up on my ECU.
Do you know if changing the fuel filter is pricey or difficult to fix?

Hey guys and gals,

I am still having troubles with my Xfire. The issue is sporadic. One last week I went out to my car in the covered parking to go to lunch and when I started it up its idle was very rough. Then this weekend I was going around a corner at a light and I lost all throttle response.

Any suggestions?

SHe did answer several posts back, Dave. I'm wondering about this "SC pulley worked on".... odd.

Anyway, some of your symptoms sound like Tricia's Limited in Oakwood GA. She struggled with it, problem would come and go. Replaced the MAF twice. Found a crack in the intake box (which you don't have) - replaced intake box. Still not right, then in two weeks, it got way worse - she could not even drive it.

Just saturday, one of us here took the throttle body off and, leaving it plugged in, had her turn the key on - the throttle plate started doing a dance. Replaced the throttle body (one of us had a used spare). Problem solved and Tricia loves her car again.

But, her car has 180,000 on it. It is, I THINK the first throttle body issue I've heard of NOT COUNTING those who have done upgrades, of course. Oh, and her car threw NO codes.

(As you have been told, the P0410 code is nothing more than a distraction and emissions thing, it does NOT cause the car to run poorly.)
