I also have a battery draw but have found out the culprit but need advice on how to fix it.?
Both my Electronic digital clock and Outside temperature display backlights(green) stay on after i leave the car..if i pull the fuse regarding these the draw vanishes..
I have left the car for hours and gone back to find them on still
No other interior lights are on
After looking aroung this forum i purchased a battery cut off plug which works but not ideal.
Any advice anybodu might have to sort this problem would be much appreciated..
Cheers, Darron

Hi Darron welcome to the forum! This post is an old post (almost 4 years). Your particular problem doesn't mirror it (without me going through the entire 60 posts) yours. My best advice to start with is to create your own post so others can work on YOUR issue directly (not needing to 'back-read' this entire post). This works best as there is a fresh start. I have never seen this issue, so again create your own post and relay everything you mentioned in here INCLUDING if this problem just popped up, was with it from the beginning, or if you 'modified' something and it showed up along the way/noticed it afterwards. Good luck, and welcome!

Exactly which fuse? 3, 35 or 37? (That is for the 05 SRTs, fuse locations vary by year and trim level.) Given that these are battery feeds, it is obvious we have a failure of the panel to power down.
We must verify that the switched power is being removed when the key is off, if so, you must replace the entire panel, as component-level service information does not exist for the panel. If switched power is NOT being turned off in the "Key off" position, we must find the reason for that.

hi my 2005 SRT6. Starting this as well. I look at the fuse you talk about on my fuse box it was fuse 9. I pulled that we will see if this does the job or not. Will post back in a couple weeks Thanks for the heads ip

I've found that the fuse that was doing the parasitic draw was the one for heated seats/garage opener. It's in the fuse box in the engine on the driver side.

Just to make things clear, fuses do not cause the parasitic draw, it is something in the circuit down stream of the fuse.

That would be fuse 1, it is not powered when the key is off, so how are you getting current when the key is off?

200Amp - entire harness of the car except the feed to the alternator, brake pump and engine cooling fan
50Amp - Brake pump
50Amp - Engine cooling fan

The other battery positive cable goes to the starter and then on to the alternator. So, essentially, the entire car's electrical system is fed thru that box, AND, other than cooling fan, brake pump and alternator, the entire car is fed from the 200 amp fuse. Since almost ALL current flowing ("parasitic drain" or otherwise) flows thru that 200 amp fuse, of COURSE you will measure current going to it.

It is easy to pop the cover off, do so, you will see that there are only three fuses in there. The only way current can "leak to ground" in there is thru the plastic body of the box itself.

But since I like watching people learn, I encourage EVERYONE with a battery drain issue to replace that box. Do it first, then report back to this forum with your results.
Correct me if I am wrong but admittedly I am not a mechanic or an electrician but I wasn't aware that plastic conducted electricity, I am aware that it may be attached by some conducting type of screws but seems like a bit of a long shot humbly in my opinion, but I also would love to thank you for explaining exactly what it is that the box is exactly used for and this is the only thread I have found with any references to this box. I am a xfire newbie and although the engine seems and sounds brand new imo I do have a number of issues that seem unrelated, I'm actually in 2 minds sadly to selling the car as spares or repair as never had as many probably easy fixed issues, the seats being full electric and for an 05 look better than most I've seen in cars a quarter of it's age easily. The power of this car is from the great mechanic in the sky and after driving many different cars over the years this in 1st 2nd and third is insane, I just wish I could find someone who could sort out the issues it seems to have. Would an ABS ring repair more issues than I can imagine or is that another false piece of info I've been given, the manual box is a dream too. Battery draining is something I have not come across B4 ever in 32 years of motoring. If anyone reads this and has time to go over a few things with me I will be forever indebted to the people who are able to help. Thanks everyone hopefully someone will get back to me ASAP.

If you are having a battery drain, the first place I would look is the alarm siren. This is controlled by fuse #9 in the engine bay fuse box in front of the brake master cylinder.
NOTE: If you're going to do any testing, always pull the negative cable off of the battery first. This will prevent the electronics from freaking out.
pizzaguy has an excellent write up on how to find a battery drain.
Here is a video on how to find a draw on an SLK 320 which is the same as a Crossfire:
