OK to really spell it out - the first photo (7930) is what the device read from the original working key. The late photos (7935) are from the new transponder. I have ordered some 7930s to see if that was the problem.

You did spell it out originally, Graphite Ghost and I saw the different numbers. Maybe CL770 has different chips in his MBenz, I think I saw different chips for MB called up on the eBay listings.
Are there any numbers on the original chip?

OK so I ordered 7930s. They sent 7931 "replacements". Didn't work. Am trying to get some real 7930s.
ps from the application list:33 RollingRollingNo
I saw the type 33 Rolling code on the Maggie55 post and it makes me wonder if that will prohibit the cloning of our keys.
The plain type 33 seems to use the latest chip you have, xxx31.
Hi, I read my key transponder before and after starting the vehicle and the code remained the same. It doesn't appear the the code gets rewritten by the screem.
I found sometime ago the Following on this site. I can't remember where but here it is :Trucs pour CrossfireThis is straight from the Crossfire manuals supplied to the dealership, or if you are a Chrysler tech, I got it from Tech Connect.
STANDARD PROCEDURE - TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING
The Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter(s) can be programmed by the customer without special tools. PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE
Transmitter programming by the customer is done by performing the following steps:
Thanks for your work on this CL770, Padgett, and maggy55. If you guys find a working and replicable solution for cloning the transponders, it would be immensely beneficial to the community.
HI, got the PCF7935AS transponder chips today. . Used the Zed-Bull option 2 (copy transponder) . Put my key in , hit enter, hit read , it read the code, then placed transponder chip in read pocket narrow end down like it would be in key fob, hit write. Said it was successful. Turned the machine off and read code on chip a couple of more times, code still matched orig. key code. I still have to test this in the car, but so far so good. Will let you know. The key type says blank, but the code is right ?
I will share my experience with cloning the chip. I purchased the Xhorse VVDI key tool having the same idea of cloning the chip from my existing key. I was able to read the data from the original chip and program that data into the virgin chip. I then scanned it again to verify the code took which it did. The key with the cloned chip would not start the car no many how many chips i wrote the code too. I gave up at that point as I had other things that took priority. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to resume troubleshooting but I definetly check this thread and help anywhere i can.
Copied correctly but failed to work was my experience with 7935 and 7931s (ordered 7930s and got 7931). Complained and they are sending 7930s (when they get some). Like yours the 7935 reported blank but the 7931 matched except for the -31 instead of -30. That is the last variable. Not that after about two weeks and a number of starts the data did not change.

Did you expect changes? If so why.
I think the door locking code changes at random not the info on the key chip.

Door locking code changes? That would be the rolling code lock/unlock remote function. These guys are cloning RFID chips to get the SKREEM to allow the cloned chip to start the car. Two separate functions.

I say exactly that, you misread my post.
I use the word NOT.
