Default Electrical

Hello,
I have a 2005 convertible. The check engine light was on , I was told it was due to O2 sensors. I have had them exchanged multiple times. Still light was on. The electric relay for the seats was not working. The system was reset and I exchanged the relay for the seats. Check engine turns off seats are working. Yesterday, after 2 weeks check engine comes on seats are no longer working. What is wrong with this car? Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED.

1) Try posting in one of the tech forums, this is for WEBSITE questions. (Forget it, thread moved, redirect added.)

2) ANYTIME the "check engine" light comes on, we need the codes that turned the light on - without them, its all just uninformed guessing.

3) The engine light and power seats have nothing to do with one another. When you say 'seats' no longer work, have you verified that BOTH seats are not working? ASSUMING that both don't work, only to find out later that its only one seat (or one function of one seat) is a waste of time.

4) The only time I had O2 codes, replacing spark plugs and plug wires cured it. If the O2 code indicates heater issues or "no response", replace them. If the O2 codes shows odd readings, it may be telling the truth - and the sensor is TRYING to tell you that there is an issue elsewhere (as in my case). This ignorant reaction "oh, if you get a code from a sensor, the sensor is bad" is why I dont take my car or truck to a garage - most 'mechanics' or 'technicians' cannot diagnose their way out of a wet paper bag. AGAIN - WHAT are the CODES?
