You might have to party a little first until the suggestion comes up to let you test his A/C head with yours (LOL). Pizzaguy's suggestion about the service manual is spot on, get it and go through it it will help you a lot. Good luck!

.
My buddy also assumed there was damage, that once corrosion starts it works its way through things internally is that correct? I'm browsing around for a A/C unit now, unfortunately no partying for me I don't think anyone near me even owns one of these cars.. there loss I'm still having fun with my purchase even if I have to tackle a few issues!

Okay I'm just going to go head and throw a new one in. When it was tested at orileys (idk how accurate) the attendant had to set the cold cranking amps and a few more parameters before it ran the test. Good new's I finished the rear shocks it was an absolute breeze I actually had fun doing something for once Removed trunk panel with a puller tool, removed the 17mm top nut with a open wrench and pliers to stop it from spinning, I was alone so I just opted to cut the top of the old shocks with a grinder so I could get them out easier. The shop wasn't lieing for once, they actually were leaking at only 47k miles... Here's the full tutorial https://howtune.com/articles/333-rep...sler-crossfire. I went with monroes and man the ride is night and day now that I know what a new set feels like I'll be doing the fronts tomorrow! Also I spoke to https://needswings.com/ over the phone, found his number in another thread (586-531-1413) he stated the rear carrier bearing he sell's is 100% compatible with my xfire and that it was a common failure, also apparently if the rubber flex on each end of the driveshaft isn't cracked or damaged no need to replace. So I wen't ahead and purchased the carrier bearing, and the complete transmission kit to nip this wicking oil in the bud. All thats left to do at this point is figure out why my ABS won't communicate, fix the heater control valve or replace, replace the ac module, replace a front tie rod end then I'll be able to get inspected. I'm going to leave the drive shaft to a local shop since I don't have a lift, what do you guys think a fair price will be? Apparently they just have to drop the cat back system, remove the old bearing a separate the drive shaft install new one maybe 1hr labor? As far as the transmission I might end up just doing this myself along with the driver side valve cover gasket.

You do not want corrosion around the battery area.
Thank you appreciate the help!

That PCB looks crooked and should be fixed like it is described in this. PDF (CLICK)
Bad alignment can lead to a bad connection.
It tells you how to file away the interference point.
Clean up the corrosion, your problem may lie in the Duo Valve, one-half working and one half not working properly.
If your control unit is found to be broken do not throw the unit away, people are willing to buy the unit cheaply and sell the ***** and dials as these breaks are quite frequent, so hang on to it until someone is desperate for some parts.

this was before I did the actual modification, thanks for the tip I’ll definitely hold on to it!

I tried.

I bought a new battery nothing’s changed so at this point I need to hunt down why this ABS isn’t communicating I assume it’s either bad wiring or a bad module. I pulled the heater control valve and man is this thing dirty the metal posts in the middle could not move at all.. took this thing apart cleaned it real good put a micro dab of grease to make this thing move easier and boom my ac now works 100% freezing on both sides thanks to who told me to clean it!

Three steps forward, one back.. finished the plugs, valve cover gaskets, and making gaskets for the top little covers. All went well the cars peddle response was noticeably better and has more low end power. Here’s where life kicks my ***... random **** happening all of a sudden... I set my light switch to driving, the head lights were normal but all 3 of my brake lights stayed on... here’s where it makes no sense, I switch the light switch to parking lights the break lights function as they should. Any ideas anyone this seems strange only thing break related I did was replace a rear break light. Also the light bulb monitor symbol is still on the dash and all lights seems to be fine???
