Troubleshooting & Technical Questions & ModificationsHave technical or modification questions about the Crossfire?
Find out the answer, or give advice in here!
1. My wife found the original key last night! Allegedly she found it in the couch cushions. I know iy was programmed to the car and allowed me to drive it home, so, high hopes!
2. I ordered the RCM yesterday! Don't have a delivery date yet, hope it gets here by the weekend.
3. I work out of town, so, won't be able to check the original key until Friday (I left the battery disconnected while out of town, so my wife won't try it until I get home)
4. While working on the car last weekend I unplugged both drain holes in the trough below the windshield wipers. They were both plugged solid. I cleaned them and flushed them to make sure they both drain well. The one in the middle was not plugged.
5. I bought a cheap dehumidifier and have been running it in the back of the car. I've only gotten about 3 ounces of water out of the car so far, so, that's a good sign that there's no significant leak.

Reason: New info
Try not to fall out of your chairs laughing at me, but, I figured out why key fob wouldn't work...
When I switched the guts out I missed the little transponder (?) imbedded in the old FOB. Moved it over and it worked perfectly first try! I feel so dumb...
The picture below is not my FOB, just one I found on the internet, but, what I circled in blue is the part I'm referencing.
