Smile Changing the dash lights

Hi everyone!, its been almost a year since I bought my crossfire! I love it! I was wondering if anyone could tell me if its AT ALL possible to change the color of the dash/console lights? Heard one possible way would be to just "paint" them with modeling paint? I'm not sure, just eager to change them to red or blue. Any info would be helpful Thank you!

all the info you need and people on the forum to help ya are here. Try a quick search of just about anything and you'll get tons of info. Personally, Ive kept a notebook by my laptop since day one and just write down everything like the throttle reset procedure and sprint booster. Enjoy the ride

Hmmm.. That thread mentions that it can be done but, unless I missed something, it doesn't really tell you how you can do it.

I too would love to change to red or blue dash lights.. The green isn't my favorite.

Hey it cant be done. One of the lights blew out behind my speedo and they are all just plane white bulbs. The Film that the print is on is green. The only way you would be able to do this is if you got a entire new screen.

That's what I wondered. I've heard tell of those that have changed the color, but never seen any pictures or any how-to's ...

I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

The dimmer action seemed awfully wide-range for them to be LEDs. I suspected bulbs, I WISH they were LEDs, as they'd last longer.

All the backlighting uses LED's with the exception of the light bulbs in the instrument cluster. Yes, I have had every switch, face, bezel, panel and control apart and know this to be true.

RCOMPART:

To me the 'Instrument Cluster' IS the dash. But anyway, so the three gauges (Tach, Speedo and Fuel/Temp) are BULBS? Do I have that right?

So does that mean that the Heater/Ac/Climate controls, and other center Console stuff is LEDs? Do I have THAT right?

Actually I forgot that the hazard light by it's self is also a bulb but yes, just the speedo, tach and fuel/water temp are bulbs and the hazard button are bulbs, the rest are LEDs, Even the two in the climate control are LEDs
