Another Trim Question
UKKen.
Bump, Ditto, I was thinking just the same, but experimenting with Sharon's first hahaha lol as her crossfire's dash is starting to wear keep us all posted Mo.
Yes it just pops off. The top comes off first, then the sides. The bottom part of the sides is a tight fit between the fender and windshield so watch that part carefully. Im pretty sure you want to start from the center of the top part and work your way out. The top part has a tab that slots into the sides so you need to lift the center of the top piece a bit to see and slide the tabs out without breaking anything. I took mine off a while ago to paint them, didn't prep very well so I get to do it again, probably going with a carbon fiber wrap.

I apologize for my mistake in knowing the word "trim" to mean an item that goes around something. If you were talking about the center "console" then try saying that instead.
As there is another thread titled "trim question" where he correctly refers to a piece of windshield trim in the question, I saw this one asking about silver trim and responded. I thought internal was a mistake because there is no "internal" silver trim.

Also as it is in the UK forum it may have some different meanings there than we on this side of the pond are familiar with.
However, here is Webster's definition. (click)
Trim can be found on the inside of our cars and some of it goes around the gear shifter and apart from the boot, it is silver.
Do you need help on how to remove it all ? there are 5 clips it is fastened with (top one) Use a plastic tool to get underneath. Do not be scared but you will need some strength to get it off. start from on end to another. they are somehow fastened from upside and downside. difficult to explain. The only thing you casn brake is when prying it off an then the "clips" that are fatsened with glue/tape will be left on the window frame. so no biggie to take it off. nothing can be destroyed

The radio surround is removed in the same manner except some screws are hidden from plain view, see the following thread to see the location of these screws (post #30) and the way to remove the radio.
