Thats not a bad price, but what concerns me is the date on the package in the ad, it has a date of 2012 which tells me for 5 bucks more I can have Schrader with a 2016 date on it. Good luck with those.
So, if the two frequencies used in 05 were different, and if the frequency of at least one of the wheels is transmitting and can be read by the "magic wand" at the stealership, which they just said they would do at no charge, then I should be able to order the correct sensor without having to break down the tire (again) to read the number off of the sensor. Yes?
Great pictures above by the way.
That's a good point....looking at the packaging I received the date 08/12/11 in Ireland. I've got new tires...so hopefully the TPMS will outlast the tires and I can replace all 4 tires/tpms at the same time 4-5 years from now. I'll go with the Shrader or whatever is recommended, like the ones that can be programmed with the SID.
I got mine from Amazon. Schrader 20028 for $36.57 each with free shipping. When I got new tires put on they replaced the sensors. I went to the dealer they said it would be $45 to set them. I had other work done at the same time so they didn't charge me to set them. It took about a minute to set them. There OBD III and MB adapter and a magnet is all they needed.
My TPMS finally bit the dust. Is the Schrader 20028 a replacement for the 52088990AC module? Went through 2 sets with Discount Tire to no avail.

The TPS on Crossfire’s is a pain, I purchased a set of winter tires for our Hyundai from the US and the TPS worked straight out of the box so to speak, no relearn or syncing required.
I think the cloning type may be the answer to our prayers, we need a definitive thread on the subject, at the moment all we have is confusion.
I see that Doorman now sells the TPSM's and reprogrammer for around $400.00. Has anyone had any experience with this new unit ? I'm looking to rid my dash of that annoying warning light as soon as I install two new 285/35/19"s in the rear. I'd like to replace all four sensors at the same time but I'm not looking forward to the aggravation of finding someone to program the TPSM system.

You are programming the car’s computer to the new sensor ID numbers therefore it’s a DRBIII only operation on the car side of things.
You could try programmable sensors to match the ID’s of the original sensors.
I just paid $50. ea Canadian to have mine replaced when they changed my tires.. They programmed to the car. Sorry not a lot of info but they work. I will ask next time I am in there what brand they are.

Please get the info, my guess is they are the clonable type. What company put the tires on? The only proof they work is when the tire loses pressure otherwise disconnecting the wire as per the Rudy fix would give the same result of no light.
My car was made in 2004 and is now over 13 years old with TPMS batteries nearing the end of their life.
I might flip the tires this spring so it would be a good time to get new sensors fitted.
So I went in today to get some info. He started by saying the aluminum OEM are a pain to get off - he just had a jeep he needed to cut it off. The new TPMS are rubber. They are made by Schrader so they are an OEM maker. They are programmable - just need to know the car it is going on. He said if you did put your wheels on another car they can be reprogrammed to it! He said they normally charge $65.00 ea. + 10$ installation. So $300. Canadian a set (under $250 US) I got them cheaper as bought tires. Sounds like another no more dealership victory.

You never said that they were working, are they?
They had rubber and aluminum service sets before and they are just the valve portion of the sensor. The part inside the wheel is the same.
See the first post in this thread. It mentions aluminum and rubber valves in the chart. CLICK

Looks like they work as the light went off as they said it would in a couple blocks. I didn't let the air out to check them but they are Schrader so I will say they should be ok. It is a complete unit valve and sensor -looks like attached. I think the Schrader # is 33500 if you want to do some more research.

Back in 2010 I listed the Schrader EZ Sensors information but until now I cannot remember anyone listing #33500. I am glad it all worked out for you. The valve stem is a serviceable item and unscrews with the screw shown. You replace it when you change wheels as the rubber seal may be compromised, it comes in a rubber snap in valve body or the aluminum clamp in valve body as the chart shows. To have the aluminum valve body that looks like the OEM valve the snap in rubber valve body is removed and replaced by the aluminum clamp in valve body part #34000 which cost less than $10.
This sensor, #33500, works in both the 315 MHz and 433MHz wavebands and thus serves all Crossfires which can have sensors of either band.
In Canada they cost CDN $62 each at Canadian Tire and in the US $39 at Tire Rack. I know where I will get mine.
Thanks for the update Ron. Reliable by name and nature. Schrader site on #33500.
See attachment for compatible learn tools.

Anyone know if a shop in Las Vegas who can reprogram the TPMS? Stealership down the road wants $160+.
Can a company like Discount Tire not do it??? I'm confused on pre-programmed VS "EZ Program"???
Nope. I had my tires replaced at Discount Tire. They stuck their TPMS unit against the tire, and the screen said to take it to the dealer. I didn't check to see what unit they were using.
I was reading that for harsher weather the rubber stems are a bit more resilient? The car has aluminum ones on there now.
To the OP as of June of 2018, is your car a 433MHz one or 315MHz? Just curious.
Thanks guys!
What makes you think they are the OEM part? Because they are not.
The 33500 part was determined to be the part to use, just make sure you can get them programmed efore you buy.
