no problems with clearance and only 1mph off on my speedometer.
Quiet tires with extreme grip wet or dry

[QUOTE=onehundred80;943688]Living in Canada I would not buy summer tires again, when the temperature gets to 50 degrees F. the tires get too hard and become a bit hairy. I like my Hankook Ventus tires fine but never again. The car is off the road by the middle of October at the latest or as soon as I see they have sprayed some roads with that liquid ice melter they use.]

Same as I tell many people, summer only tires are exactly that "Summer Only"
It is dangerous.

I have loved my michelins, but with being runflats, the 285's can not be mounted on oe wheels, they can have problems sealing.
when I had my oe wheels I had several other 275 & 285 's on, like gmax, dws, dws06, etc etc etc
these are hands down, best "All Season" tire, doesn't matter the road condition, they stuck good.
previous set I took off was time to change and low on tread depth, and had winter xoning up, so I threw on a new pair, but still lower on tread, and they still preformed alot better than expected in heavy rain.

I had a set of General's on it when I bought the Crossfire. They were well worn with only 5/32 left.
They were also unidirectional so I had to keep them on the side they were installed on.
AND DID I MENTION THEY WERE LOUD?
I had to replace my speakers because they were blown out. I'm assuming that the PO turned up the volume to drown out the hum.

I do not auto cross or drag race this car. Its simply not quick enough for that (not an SRT). For me its a sporty touring car.
I replaced the rear only with Kumho Majesty 9 Solus 275/35-19. This is an all-season tire non uni directional. Tire rack price delivered to my door $315 for the pair.
I had ASAP mobile tire installation come to my work and install them for $25.00 a tire. That includes stick on weights, new valve stems, and disposal of my old tires.

So far so good...quiet tire with a softer ride then my worn out Generals. My wife and I went for a ride last night and we didn't have to shout at each other....always a pleasure.

Valk: Sent you a more complete response via direct mail, but essentially asking whether this 2020 response still stands in 2024.
SRT6 Roadster we recently purchased apparently had been run on flat rear tire, damaging sidewall, so we're looking to replace Firestones with Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02. Primary use will be non winter cruising, so seems more than adequate?

Brand: BF Goodrich 225/40ZR-18 BFGOODRICH G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S PLUS XL
Queter, smoother, handles well in rain, I would buy these again.

Thanks to all for sharing your experiences. So many brands, models, uses. Nice to have choices, but a bit confusing.
Concern re summer tires performing poorly below 50 degrees is the latest concern. Live in Iowa but don't plan to run in winter due to ice, snow, salt and the accident rate of the season. Some info does express concern about even storing these tires below 50. Garage stays above freezing, but I'm not ready to put an electric blanket on the car.
Currently pricing out the Conti Extreme Contact Sport 02 in OEM sizes. We'll see.
Again, thanks for sharing.

I find Tire Rack a good source of information and they give you the UTQG for each tire. That tells you Treadwear, Traction, and Temperature. And they have great tire tests.
