Thanks, Dedwards, for post 10 - I'd really like to just get four of the OEM bolts.
Why not just get the key # stamped on the key and order one from McGuard. Saves buying bolts and your protected from theft.

Thanks for correcting me guys. EZAccessory website looks like a good source since lug bolts can be bought individually, rather than in sets.

Later,

AAUUGGHHHH!!!!

Between my sister's medical and divorce situation and my own concerns about my current employer's ability to employ me for the long term.... I guess I am just not "on the ball".

I went to the tire shop to have the locking lugs removed this evening. The guy THOUGHT he had the right socket/key. He was wrong.

So, frustrated, he asked, "You SURE it is not in the car???" I showed him it wasn't in the car - even took the air compressor, tire sealer and jack out of the trunk.

The key was under the jack.

This leaves me with only one question:

Yea, but all this proved to me was that the previous owner was sane.

Does it tell you anything about ME?

Sometimes, the obvious is right under our nose and we don't even see it.

Problem solved.

A lot, as it was in exactly the spot it should be.

I usually keep the locking lug bolt socket in the glovebox when I've used them. Just makes it easier to get at for work at tire shops and at home. I don't want to have to access the spare equipment out of the trunk storage area unless I have to. Anyway, glad you were able to find it. Now you only need to decide whether to keep the security lugs installed or go back to standard versions.

Post 10, about the chrome lug bolts, the first two listed in post 10 (XFire chrome lug bolts, and ebay chrome tuner lug bolts) are the wrong lug bolts! The correct lug bolts must be BOWL seat NOT CONICAL! The seat must be the rounded ones or they will not seat properly in the rims. The correct ones are 12mmx1.5" at 40mm shank length so as not to extend too far into the area behind the rotors. Please be careful installing too short or too long a lug bolt into your rotors!
