The TPM"S just tell the car the tires are full above the programed pressure range. Nothing else.
I have aftermarket rims on the coupe. Indicator light has been on for years. No issues at all.
However, it was handy to know a rear tire on the roadster was flat in Nashville a few years back. The car did not feel funny or like it had a flat. Had the dashlight not come on, I would have ruined the tire.
