Default New brake pads and rotors.

I've been going through the posts about brakes for the past hour or so. Gets confusing because many people want "upgraded" brakes. I'm not going to be taking my car to the track and I am not an aggressive driver so I don't think I need to "upgrade" to high performance pads and rotors. However from the reading I've done it does seem to be agreed though to switch to ceramic pads Do these seem to be the right ones?

This looks to be the same kit on Amazon: $128

These should work just fine, The Crossfire has in my opinion very good brakes as it is. The ceramics supposedly do have less dust. You might want to consider flushing your brake fluid while you are at it.

I agree with Larry, looks like a good set at a good price with free shipping from Amazon.

Thanks guys, I placed my order yesterday. I really had expected to have to pay more ( and I could have) but I think these will be as good or better than the stock brakes that came on the car when new. Ill feel better knowing it has new brakes all around.

I like drilled rotors, not drilled and slotted, the slots glaze the pads and help for racing, but decreases life of the pads.
I have over 100k miles on my drilled rotors and ceramic pads and looked at them last weekend and it looks like it will be quite awhile till I need to change them.
any rotors I get are drilled only, had drilled and slotted before on a truck.

This comment ( Components are designed to match the OE performance of your brakes ) just causes me to wonder if you actually need all that hardware? Would just a pad replacement and flush of the DOT4 have done just as good a job?

.

The rotors wear down just like the pads do. Not as quick but they do wear down. Back in the day they used to put rotors on a lathe and cut them down "once" to save you from having to replace them so often. However nowadays the cost of rotors is cheap enough I'm not sure if very many even have that done anymore.
You are correct though that if you buy the right pads you could just change them....as long as your rotors are still in good condition.
