Default % pack CD storage

Hi Folks;

We just picked up a nice 05 Roadster this year and I am going thru it. We have the the original dealer window sticker for the car, numbers match, and it appears the only option we are missing is the 5 pack cd holder, which looks to me like there is a spot for it in the trunk. I have done some searches and can't find anything. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

This CD option was dealer installed, I had one at one time and sold it. I wrote a PDF on it at the time. I’ll add a link to it.
It does not really fit in the trunk to well, it fits in the well in the foam on the passenger side but sticks up a bit. You need the navigation radio for it to work, it does not work with the standard radio.
Click for the thread on the CD unit. Go to post #24 form my installation directions.

Thanks 180. I read thru your notes and all your links and to be honest, I don't want one that badly. It looks to me like it was more an accessory than an option, because the trunk install is not kool, just as you mention. I guess our vihicle isn'tissing any options, only a couple accessories. You have saved me a lot of time and money. Thanks, this is off my really short list.

I had the standard radio in my NA, upgraded to a OEM navigation radio then I upgraded it by adding the CD changer. In my SRT I had the standard radio which I replaced with the navigation radio, I replaced it with a Kenwood radio. Not being satisfied with that I installed a double DIN radio with navigation. Not being satisfied with the layout of that DD I made another variation of the DD. Never satisfied I guess.
There were not many options on the car from the factory, tyres and navigation radios and were it I think.
Options like the Nav radio and tires could be installed by the dealer if not factory fitted. Illuminated door sills, cargo cover, trunk organizer, signal mirrors, humidor etc were available from the dealer. The sales brochures available in my ‘Index of Crossfire ....‘ below have the available options in them.
Your Monroney (?) label shows how the car left the factory.

Dave, the navigation radio is listed as an option on my SRT6 window sticker, so I made the assumption it came from the factory installed.

I forgot that some did come with the Nav unit. It was expensive to buy later. Not cheap when installed at the factory I am sure.
I’ll edit my post.

Hi 180;
Ours came with the Nav radio so I could bolt a cd unit in. Frankly from the picture you posted, for something I'll never use, it is not up to the quality of the rest of the car. Would maybe devalue the car? Speaking of nav discs, I only have the US west Nav disc. Wouldn't mind a complete set, us west, us east, and Canada? Any Ideas.

The East and the West CDs have Canada on them. The CDs can be downloaded from the Documentation thread.
The CD changer is hidden in the trunk so it would not devalue the car and it can be taken out with no signs it was ever there.
Here is how to copy them. CLICK
Here is where the East CD is. CLICK
