Cyclic Drill Noise At Idle... ???

Default Cyclic Drill Noise At Idle... ???

hi everybody,
my car as p0410 sencondary air problem, i'm tryng to buying RELAY CONTROL MODULE and the BLUE CHECK VALVE...but now i'm waiting
my car when is a little warmed and stay at idle after few seconds i hear a ciclyc like drill noise coming near the secondary AIR pump...
any ideas of the matter?

they do that, sounds like a small pump or drill for a minute or so and goes away. Dont know the tec jarjon but its ok

The noise is normal but as he has that code as well it has a problem. I'm not quite sure I quite understand the description.

the car when is at idle also shake a little bit this is related with the p0410 secondary air problem?

i replaced:
-camshaft sensor
-crankshaft sensor
-spark plugs (bosch fr88dpp33+)
-air filters
-fuel filter
and cleaned MAF sensor and THROTTLE BODY
but the car is still shaking and rambling a little bit,
ANY IDEAS??????

Vacuum hose leak?
You had the MAF off, did you install both vacuum hoses correctly?
Look at hoses to air pump.

the maf seems to work correctly
i will check vacuum hoses but i don't think is this the problem...

rumbling a little bit?

My idea is to find someone is your area and sit in their XF. These mercedes 3.2 are notorious for being a little rough at idle, not sure on the code, but there is a good chance the car is running normal.

I don't know for sure, but " Secondary Air" code sounds like a vaccuum leak. Check the hoses at the top of the TB. did you have the TB off, maybe the TB gasket is not sealing off. Vac leaks would make it idle rough. Hope this helps.

May be the air pump that makes the noise.
