Took time today to treat the leather seats with Lexol Leather Cleaner & Conditioner. I typically do this 2x per year - once in the spring & once in the fall.
Today was a mixed "Good news/Bad news" day for me and my car.
Good news:
I took my car to an exhaust place today. I need a couple of brackets fabricated and when my Magna-Flow exhaust arrives I want to swap the tips to the originals.
They can do everything and he said he would install it for around $300.00 - $350.00. I'll pay a little extra not to have to install the exhaust from on my back.
Bad news:
While he had the car on the lift I took a good look around. It looks like my rear main seal is leaking.
If I was younger and still had my equipment, I would attempt it myself. Now I have to find a shop to do that.

I too just now see this same issue on my SRT6 after doing a transmission fluid purge. Keep us informed as to how much $$$
An Update to my "good news/Bad news" post above.
Today I went under the car and noticed oil coming from the belly pan. Then I remembered, when I did the valve cover and breather gaskets some oil went down into the belly pan. I forgot to clean it out.
I'm hoping that this was just being blown back towards the transmission. I've had the car at high speeds a few times and some quick launches.
I decided to clean everything, oil pan, transmission, belly pan, etc... I took off the inspection cover and it looks dry in there.
Now it will be a wait and see. Fingers crossed!
Here are some pictures:
This is why I think the oil was blowing back on the transmission. There wasn't a ton of oil in there. It probably accumulated from the leaking valve covers and when I replaced the gaskets. It looks like the oil was sprayed onto the transmission. All dry inside. No oil on the inspection cover.
Today I went to a local weekly car show at Johnston's Steakhouse and Pub in Roseland, NJ.
The great weather brought out a lot of cars and spectators.
I'll bet you had the only Crossfire there. I have never seen another SRT6 in real life besides mine. I was as a cars and coffee thing a few months ago and some dude walked up laughing his rear off saying, "look! What dumbbell put an SRT badge on a Crossfire!?" And the hood was up, so I pointed at the engine and said probably the same dumbbell that put the AMG Supercharged engine in it. He shut up.

That guy must of felt so small when you showed him the engine! LOL
You're right, I was the only Crossfire there. I was surprised though. A few people knew what it was, and there were a couple of people who had bought them when they were knew.
Thanks to M60A3Driver
Finally looked at the wing on my 2005 Crossfire Limited coupe to see the bushings that M60A3Driver had replaced and did an excellent job of explaining it.
I have had my car for 6 years. There was no evidence of any bushing ever being there. Wing works fine.
So first I thought, oh maybe they made a change for different years and there was no bushings for 2005.
I had my wife put the wing up and down several times while I observed it.
Yes, that needs a bushing on the piece that looks like a bushing goes on it.
Anyway, a fast easy fix and good to go.
I will keep an eye on it. This is something that I would never have stumbled on myself (as no bushing remains were there).
Thanks again.

After participating in our local Memorial Day ceremony, I just wanted some time alone.
So I went in the garage and installed my Oil Catch Can kit from Needswings. I was very impressed with the quality of the kit and how nicely it fit.
Here are some pictures. Eventually I'll do a full post in "My Journey with my roadster".
This last week, I prepped my 08 MG coupe for paint and body work. Car is straight and rust-free, but the paint is sunbaked (TX/OK car). To get the quality work I am after, all bolt on trim pieces, head lamps, tail lamps, bumpers , side skirts, handles, mirrors, etc have to come off. After conferring with the body shop, rubber pieces around the windows can stay, and there are tricks for them to deal with that. Anyway, here is how is looked yesterday afternoon when the shop came and picked the car up:
For this portion of the work, it will be a little less about what I have done to my Crossfire today, so much as what the shop has done!

Had mine for many years and they work well too
Just drain it at each oil change

I try and keep mine clean but that makes mine look like an wreck in the scrapyard.
Amazing and you put many miles on it, I am beginning to think you have two cars, one for driving and one kept under a cover in a hermetically sealed container.
