Took her on the Hot Rod Power Tour last week, so I had to get a few things sorted before the trip:
The intercooler fluid pump went out, so I replaced it. Since I was going to be dumping the coolant anyway, I upgraded to the Needswings Waldig Supercooler, installed the intercooler isolation fluid isolation kit and replaced the coolant.
I installed a Bluetooth Kenwood radio to keep in touch with family easier and listen to my music while driving through the mountains.
I also added cupholders in the center console. I built them based off a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee backlit cupholder assembly and moved the accessory power from the dash to the center console. It has 2 USB 3.0 outlets/voltmeter and a normal acc outlet for a plug. The kit also came with a switchable outlet for 1-USB and 1-USB-C outlet. I wasn't real happy with the way the carbon wrap came out, so there will likely be a version 2.0 in the future. For now, it serves it's purpose well. USBs can be covered and voltmeter turned off. 2 USB 3.0 outlets and 1 regular accessory outlet (under the eject button). Backlight at night
I decoded my tires and found out they were ten years old.
New tires on the way!
A few years back, I put used tires, really good looking mind you, on my farm Jeep that rarely gets driven on the roads. My wife decoded the dates on them and they were all about 15, I think it was. I made an appointment with a new tire dealer and replaced all five.
Now, you have me wondering about the tires on the Crossfire. I've owned it 7 months now. The guy told me they were new. I'll bet those were the tires on it when he bought it, 3 years earlier.
Good job catching that. I've had old trailer tires come apart at speed. That could at a minimum tear up the fenders or liners, or cause you to lose control.
are somewhat welcome (if a functional cup holder is absolutely necessary). I came across some like these that were made of really nice looking leather and came in several colors. But I can't seem to locate the webpage anymore.
Don't like giving up the center console storage - Isn't much storage space in the Crossfire!

That's exactly what I'm worried about. I don't want to be cruising at speed and lose a tire if it can be avoided. Especially since I'll be heading out to Ohio in October.

How was the Hot Rod Power Tour? That must have been a lot of fun!
BTW, I like the light up cup holder you made.
I don't have much room for storage in my roadster, so every inch of space is worth it's weight in gold!
I couldn't give up my console space, so I made one to fit in the console storage bin.
It's not fancy but it works for long rides. I remove it when I don't need it.
Power Tour was a good time, but it was tiring. It was nice to see so many cars together, but that sometimes meant heavy traffic. Tons of amazing cars there and mostly good people. It was fun to drive the car at different venues.
I didn't have much in my center console that wouldn't fit in the glovebox. It has a decent capacity. The biggest issue with it in this location is it isn't as easy to reach while driving, but I got used to it.

Power Tour was a lot of fun. It was a bucket list item for me and since it was the 30th anniversary, I decided to give it a shot. Lots of great cars and trucks attended 6-7k cars were said to be in attendance. The venues were fun for the most part and everyone was very courteous. The added traffic did mean longer travel times in some instances.
The cupholders have been great. I didn't use my center console for much storage. It isn't my daily driver, so most things fit nicely in the glovebox or the hatch. My biggest issue is that it isn't as easy to grab drinks when you are driving alone since they are beside/behind you. It's not a stick-shift car, so it's not that big a deal. Your solution looks like another good option for 2 drinks.

That sounds like a great time, minus the traffic.
Thanks for the update!
My car had developed an annoying squeak on rear driver side. I final fixed it today. Replaced the the rear Control Arm Bushing. Need to do the other side to but man was it a pain.

If the left one was degraded the right one should be replaced. Now that you know what and how to do it, you probably would be able to do the passenger side more quickly. Afterwards you can reward yourself by the amount of monies you saved by a DIY project (am guessing it would have been very expensive to have someone else replace them?). Good luck!

A friend of mine built a paint booth for his corvette out of a wedding party tent. Worked great.
