Yesterday I took some time to change the oil in my 2007 Coupe. Oil change went somewhat messy as the catch pan I was using under the car was plenty large enough for the oil volume but only had one small drain hole for the oil to drain into the pan. Oil flowed out of the engine oil pan faster than the oil draining into catch pan. Caught me by surprise (I usually use another drain pan that has 2 drain holes in it for the oil to drain thru, but I was lazy digging it out of the backside of my work bench), so some oil ended up on my driveway when the drain pan overflowed. Senior Moment! Anyway, I finished up the oil change and installed a new Mann filter element, torqueing the filter cap to 25 N-m. Removed all my wrenches & stuff, started up the Coupe & saw no evidence of any oil leaks anywhere.
I then took some time to do some underbody inspections with the front end up on ramps. No leaks visible at the transmission or differential. All the front suspension hardware looked to be in good working order with no looseness found in the wheel bearings (jacked up front sides one-at-a-time to check for any bearing play). Backed the Coupe off the Rhino ramps, put the ramps in the garage & then put all my tools away. Consolidated all the old oil & empty oil bottles for transport to the County recycle center.
That left only the infamous FSS reset task to perform. I always hate this final PM as the system seems to know how to irritate me. But it went smooth! Must have done something wrong!
Finally got around to cleaning up all the rust under the driver side door in that weatherstrip channel. Interesting that the passenger side is just fine. Used a Dremel with a small grinding bit and small wire brushes to get down to bare metal even though it probably wasn’t necessary but hopefully this is a one and done job. Was pleased to see that the Rust Bullet grey metallic paint blended in so well with the sapphire blue. Only mistake I made was being too lazy to grab a pair of gloves as painting upside down the paint ran down the brush onto my hand… this is absolutely nasty stuff to try and get off. Soap? Nope. Gasoline? Nope. Last resort acetone? Nope. Long story short, wear gloves.
Today I met up with my friend willyp for lunch at Johnny's in Belvidere, NJ. This was the first time we actually got to see each other's cars in person.
Then we took our cars for a drive down to an airfield. That SRT 6 is freaking fast!
Here are some pictures;
Took time today to clean the tires & wheels on my coupe. I use Turtle Wax All Wheel & Tire Cleaner. Best product I've found for this task on the Crossfire & my other vehicles.

Today, I just went out and drove around with no destination, nowhere to be.
I took some photos at some places I stopped at. The photos are in the order that I went to them.
Took time between showers & T-storms today to load some parts & tooling in the trunk for the trip to Eureka Springs this coming weekend. Much to my dismay, I found some water accumulation in the PS trunk cavity when I pulled up the trunk mats. Never saw this before with my 2007 Coupe. But it has been pouring down rain here off & on for the past couple of days and forecasted to continue thru THU this week. Didn't see a path the water took to accumulate in the trunk, but will keep monitoring this the remainder of the week to see if I can pinpoint the pathway.
Gave it a good wash and detail after returning from the "2024 Crossfires in Athens, Ohio" event on Sunday.
Got it re-loaded now to leave tomorrow morning to head to Branson, Missouri for 4 days and then head to Eureka Springs, Arkansas on Sunday to attend: 9th annual "Crossfire Fun in the Ozarks" - June 9-14, 2024
Photo below taken at our host hotel last weekend in Athens

Just be sure you have NO water in the bottom passenger side trunk well where your PSE module is because if it has gotten wet or even submerged in water you will likely need to replace it.
When the PSE module is damaged by water your power locks fail and on Roadsters the top will no longer operate.
You will also have a battery discharge created by a damaged PSE module.
Today, I had the MagnaFlow cat-back exhaust system installed on my car.
I was going to do it myself, but I had to make a couple of brackets to replace the rusted out ones near the transmission.
(You know there will be a write up soon in the "My journey with "Svengoolie" series! LOL)
I can't weld, so the guy at the shop said he'd do the welding and install the kit for 2 bills.
I would still like to have the original tips put on it. I'm not a big fan of the round ones.

The Y back was carried out last year before getting the headers.
I had a full s/s system made to order earlier this year, manifolds back and asked them to keep the original tips which they did so looks standard, trust me it doesn’t sound standard. Also got new bigger headers from Needswings.

Washed the Coupe last Sunday after getting home from Eureka Springs XFire GTG. Took some time today to vacuum & clean the interior along with the liftgate compartment. Coupe is covered & ready for its next adventure!
