Today I changed the oil and filter - I used 5w40 Mobil 1 Full Synthetic European Oil and the Mann Fleece Filter as always
I then went out for a drive and stopped at Culver's for some dinner after cruising most of the afternoon
Getting ready to attend the Athens, Ohio event at the end of May and then the Ozarks event a week later in June.
There's an event in Ohio? I didn't see anything on the event page. Maybe I missed it?
It's an event only posted on Facebook
It's a weekend thing from May 30 to June 2
"Ohio Valley Crossfire Owners Group"
If you use Facebook look for the group and ask to join.
Just return home from the winter stay, put the battery back in y crossfire and it fired right up with just a touch of the key! I was thrilled to say the. Least after sitting for over 6 months, i mean it didn’t crank over, it popped and started! Bang! Running high grade fuel I believe does make a difference. I did have one tire that was low on air but only a few lbs, and then i was off for a short run! Everything was great a always. Time to get it inspected today!
Completed a 600-mile weekend trip ... first to Phoenix for a labyrinth walk with a friend, then to Rodeo to support a new restaurant Cave Creek Sandwich Company because they buy and serve my coffee ... then, back home. I'll be achy tomorrow and my hands are pretty sore right now, but what a treat to enjoy my Roadster Limited, top up and top down, on a clear, sunny desert weekend.
These cars just love to be driven a lot.
I change my oil every 6000 miles and I have had a Needswings Oil Catch Can on my Crossfires for 14 years now
Last week I changed my Oil and Filter and today I drained my Needswings Oil Catch can and got about 3oz of oil out from it I thought I drained it last year but I may not have so it might be 12,000 miles I highly recommend a Oil Catch Can on our Crossfires to prevent all this oil from re-entering your throttle body as it is designed to by the factory design
Heading out this am. For the dreaded NY state yearly inspection!! I haven’t had too many issues over the yrs but every so often the state computer says i have an and emission issue after setting all winter and the battery out even though there is no codes! So i fail and have to drive it about 200 mile and go back for another charge to pass!!hoping for a clean bill this yr
When the battery is disconnected all data in the system is lost and it must be driven to reset all of the readings. This is why I keep a trickle charger on mine.
Well in Florida #1 we do not have inspection and #2 we do not need to store our car,, i drive one and or both all year round love it that way. ,,if i do park in
my garage for more than 10 days i put a trickle charger on my car.
as said above by Zeracer "When the battery is disconnected all data in the system is lost and it must be driven to reset all of the readings."
drive it a little hard so it knows what to store.and then u should pass inspection.
Sunday I detailed my car, used clay bar, then waxed and ceramic coated, I have a friend that has a detail shop so he helped with it . it looks g-r=e=a=t
Today I went out to my garage and looked at my special black German paint job on my car and sighed.
The paint is a custom order job, it's called Der Fahrder schwartz malen.
Being from Jersey, we like to shorten that crap up. I call it my "Fahrder" paint job. Because the Fahrder away you are, the better it looks!
Are your feet tired? Because that was a long way to go for a joke. One day I'll get it painted.
