After a bit more negotiations I have decided to buy this car. I知 not sure what you all would consider a fantastic price but I hope I知 doing ok with it. Buying something out of state would have added extra dollars in hotels, airfare ,etc. Overall I知 not sure I would have saved much more. I realize it does need some work and TLC. I hope that it will be a rewarding experience in making this one better. That痴 were you folks come in. I知 sure I値l be asking more detailed questions very soon. I pick up the car tonight.
Fantastic price is different to everybody. I paid to much for mine last year, but to me it was a fantastic price. It had 3700 miles on it and I was willing to pay for that. The important thing is to enjoy the car. They are a blast to drive.

Dang, I was going to see if you were interested in SRT6, but looks like you've already pulled the trigger. Just realized you're looking for a roadster, and mine's a coupe. Anyway, best of luck, I'm sure you'll enjoy the XF.

So, I just drove it home. Completely different experience than the pick up truck I've been driving for the past 15 years. Hope to start getting it cleaned up soon. Looking forward to learning all about it. Here are a few photos of it.
My first Crossfire was 90 miles from me.
My second one was 2200 miles away, a local guy out there on this forum looked it over for me and I bought my first one-way airplane ticket - flew out, looked it over for 20 minutes, paid the guy and drove home.
My third one was 450 miles away, the second one-way ticket I bought in my life - but that car I'd seen in person maybe 2-3 years earlier. And Kim and Chuk knew the owner and the car - so when I left I knew it was coming home with me.
Buy the RIGHT car for you. Not the closest one, the RIGHT one. If this is the RIGHT one, fine.
But you are buying a toy, right? No reason to hurry.
Well... Welcome to the Aero Blue - Vanilla club! All the really cool people pick these! Some claim the Stripped Editions are the bomb.. but you have to consider the source too..

thanks for posting that photo. I like the side by side comparison of the different front grilles. I like the one on the left. Can you tell me where you got it?

Congrats on the new car! Have fun with it. Keep good records of everything you do on it.

Actually bought that from a forum member.. It's just the "typical" wire mesh grille but he had painted the mesh to match.
These guys are just above the NC/SC line near Myrtle Beach, SC. They have 5 or 6 Crossfires on their lot. Check them out for used parts. East Coast Used Parts - Home
so all that dust on the front wheel came out of nowhere?
Dust comes from wear, those soft pads are not meant to last long just stop the car. I am light on brakes which shows in the miles I can get from a good set.
Are you sure you did not swap out the pads for ceramics?
First of all that wasn't my rotor I don't know what 180 is trying to say here with this picture. I was just trying to say that my mileage on the brakes is attainable and yes I am sure that the brakes were original to the car and were not ceramic. I do know were the dust comes from by the way. Must you always question someones honesty?

Good luck with your car, I hope to see you around sometimes. If you ever need to look at the Factory repair manual you can download it from here or come over and look at my set (04).

I am just spreading false news.
The photo was a joke but I guess you missed that somehow.
You probably never had the car from new and I am basing my assumptions on that fact. Why you would then jump to the conclusion that I doubt your honesty I do not know, perhaps it is a sign of the times.

Thanks Larry, If it ever stops raining I'd like to bring it over for you to look at. Yeah I need to find out where to download a repair manual. That would come in very handy. I'll be in touch.

Chrysler does not call it a repair manual, they are far more positive in their thoughts than that, they call it a Service. Manual.
look in my signature and go to the Documentation section, the Service Manual is there.
