tpms batterys just died on my 2005 SRT and I don't want to go to the S.O.B. dealership.need relearn on computer for new sensors. HELP any one around or near port orange FL that does have data cable & software so I can get rid of light on dash
What sensors did you buy? And why did the place that installed them not program them to the car?
I Know the answer to the second question: Because they sold you the wrong sensors, thinking you had a typical TPMS system. But you dont, you have the abortion known as the CROSSFIRE system and there is, I do believe, only one sensor that works.
So, where did you get them and what did they sell you?

Actually any sensor that is the proper frequency can be activated and linked to the TPMS Module using the DRB3 Emulator software. I've done this multiple times with various sensors for several folks & cleared the TPMS warning light on the dash. The Autel scanner I have doesn't require the magnet to trigger the sensor for the DRB3 Emulator software to store the sensor's info. The Autel scanner tool has the capability to trigger the sensor all by itself, working with the DRB3 Emulator software, & will store the sensors' IDs & info parallel to the TPMS Module. I've saved the sensor info and sent copies to the various owners for their records. And if the new sensors are Autel, the existing wheel sensors can be cloned by the Autel scanner so the TPMS Module doesn't know the difference between old & new.
Unless I'm missing something in far103's opening post.

The DRB3 Emulator should be able to read these easily. You just need to find someone close to you that has the software and pick a place to meet to fix your TPMS system.

I don't understand how that works. It was my understanding that the magnet "woke up" the sensor so that you could talk to it, as the sensor is supposed to have a built-in "on-off" switch that operated when the tire rotated, so the sensor was 'off' when the car was not moving, saving the battery. Since you can talk to the sensor at any time, what I understood to be the way it works is not accurate.

Essentially, the Autel scanner "triggers" the wheel sensor by sending a signal to it when the DRB3 software says it's ready (beep) to receive the sensor's info. So it is essentially performing the same task as the magnet.
See attached document.

Here's the latest TPMS Relearn Results on my 2007 Coupe.
Status of TPMS wheel sensors on 2007 XFire Coupe. TPMS wheel sensors info - Screen #1 TPMS wheel sensors info - Screen #2
An interesting fact that surfaced. The DS of my Coupe still has the factory OEM wheel sensors installed and they function fine. The PS wheel sensors both failed a couple of years back & I replaced them with VDO REDI-Sensors (SE100004A; 433 MHz). I set the air pressure in all 4 tires at 36 PSIG. The OEM sensors measure high; the VDO sensors measure low. But both are shown as fully functional & within tolerance.
The Autel also has a feature where it will check the status of the battery in the key fob. You set the scanner tool to the key test function, hold the fob near the scanner & press one of the fob buttons (lock or unlock). The scanner sees the signal & shows me how strong the battery is. Right now my wife' fob shows 48-51% power & tells me the signal triggers at 315 MHz.
Oh by the way, the Autel scanner tool came with the wheel magnet. Sorry for digressing.
Probably ought to put together a "sticky" thread where we can list Owners (dedwards0323) with locations (Upstate SC) that have the DRB3 Emulator w/Micropod 2 (or other TPMS capability). That way folks could reach out to a nearby Owner & get some help on performing the relearn process on the Crossfire TPMS system & clear the dash warning light.
