Electric Window Blowing 40amp Fuse!
Every time I try to roll down the right side window, it blows the 40amp fuse. I replaced the motor 1.5 years ago (By Dealer) it stopped the problem for a little while. Now it is doing it again! I am being told it is the Body Control Module? I dosconnected the window motor and ran it off a seperate circutt with 11 amp fuse and it did fine! When I connect it back the the wiring harness POW! it pops the fuse. The antitheift is not working either. Dealer wants $ 2,400.00 to replace the BCM! Any thoughts?

Start at the cheap end of the fix and work your way toward the BCM. Then start at the motor and work back to the BCM. There's probably a short somewhere.

Is the window pinching the cable? Is there a rub??. The motor is the only thing that can draw that much current other than a cable pinch. You tested the motor alone.. woody
Woody, the motor is fine. I am being tol the BCM is out. Because My alarm and the switch for the motion decetor is not working as well. Looked at the wiring an do not see any rubs or etc. I need a wiring schematic for the car. Guess I will have to find one some where.

The wiring diagrams are on this site in the repair manuals and you can go to them via the link in my sig.below.
