Hey Buck, send me a pic of what the clip looks like and there is a Paint/body shop supply company near my office in Vaughan that I will check to see if they have or can get them.

Just a quick update...The Kappas sound great. I was afraid they would sound too bright like some of the Infinity's but with the tweeter crossover on -3 db they don't sound bright, just clear. I just left the stock tweeters disconnected. Figured why put the extra strain/heat load on the amp, since they barely put out any sound.

Well worth the money. Thanks for the help on this tread.

Also, after dynomatting the doors they sound solid when closing. Good upgrade.

Let me know how the install goes and if you are happy with the sound. I have mine sitting in the box ready for installation.

Like I said, these are worth the money easily and the sound is great from them. Get it done guys, and if you're in the Chicago area ever let me know so we can go for a cruise.

It is really easy to install, it took about 45 minutes to finish 1 door (I am drinking some margarita )
Right now, one door has the original speaker+tweeter and the other door has just the new speaker on/ little stock tweeter is unplugged.
both of the subwoofers behind the seats are unplugged.
music is more interesting with the new speaker, so many instruments/voices I cant hear on the stock speaker side of the car.

Mhmm, that's one of the first things I noticed about the new speakers when I put them in too. The sound range is so much cleaner and crisper compared to the stock ones.

Factory amp/head unit clearly cant support these speakers. When the subwoofers were unplugged, these speakers were working good but since I plugged the subwoofers back, they sound pretty bad once I turn the volume up...(I am not sure about why does it even effect the sound quality since they get the power from different channels)
As some other member said, amp outputs are 22W RMS and these speakers are 60W RMS

...and I just installed my little Kenwood amp, under the passenger seat, and it sounds-great! Even at high volumes.

Ya gotta' do it.

I have no idea about how to do it and all the topics about the amp replacement are so complicated and has members fighting between them :/
Do I have to disconnect the original amp? Does it require a lot of wiring?

Oh, no. This is pretty easy. Instead of having the OEM amp run the subs, badly, I installed an amp and a Pioneer head unit. The head unit has RCA outputs to run to the new amp.

The subs are disconnected from the OEM amp and run from the new amp right there under the passenger seat.

My Pioneer was ~ $85 and the amp was $65. You can always have a car stereo shop do the install.

I did run #8 power wire from under the hood.

The power rating mismatch won't hurt anything. The rms wattge rating on the speakers only tells you the electrical power they can take before thermal damage to the voice coil occurs. A higher rating on the speakers just means you have to worry less about burning them up.

The impedance rating is important. Make sure the amp is designed for the impedance of the speakers you'll be using.

In another car I have a 500w rms sub amp driving a subwoofer only rated for 100w rms. You know what? It sounds great. That amp will drive the subwoofer cleanly right up to the excursion limit (xmax) of the subwoofer, which has an awful sound once you hit it, and will definitely damage the sub if you continued to play it louder than that.

The rule always is: don't turn the music up past the point of audible distortion and you will be fine.

I have scored the primus PR6500cs door replacement speakers. How do we get the stock tweeters out of the insert that holds them into the panel? Please tell me they come out easily and I just cant figure it out. I hate to think I have to build a rig to hold my tweeters in.
