Default Required?

Are dealerships required to tell you if they have not completed recall work on your car? I am having my oil changed today at 6,300 miles - and when I mentioned TSPs to the dealer - they got really quiet...

They should be able to look up your VIN on the computer and see if any TSBs or recalls apply to your car. Maybe they were having problems with the computer that day.

Bob's is correct you can look them up by vin but at ;east in my case they only fixed what I asked them to fix. The pneumatic lock TSB also applies to my car but at the time they did my fan and oil service it wasn't an issue, in other words it wasn't broke so why fix it? Now it is an issue. Tried to figure it out myself last night but I can't get to all the hoses and couplings. I let the dealer have at it on Tuesday. So I guess the short answer to your question is No.

You can look up recalls (but not TSB's) applicable to your vehicle on the Chrysler website (under Owner Services).
