It there to help move small amounts of pot and moonshine... Occasionally blow too.

That empty slot in the back was for an emergency kit.... I believe that the EU cars have them by law....

I have an awesome lifesaving device to detect a slow leak - 3 of them actually; two eyes and a tire gauge. I guess from all my years riding a motorcycle, checking tire pressures very regularly is just part of my routine.

Driving an SRT6 it's also very routine for me. The TPMS is for during the trip when you're driving. I was trying to make a point to the kid, and that they do have a good purpose.

I was gonna ask this very question tonite. The 1st aid kit makes sense. I keep a few small tools in there.

The Emergency kit which consists of the medical kit and a triangular reflector uses velcro straps to hold it in place against the rear wall of the trunk in pictures that I have seen of the Australian kit. The triangle would not fit in the pocket in the foam.
I have the Becker CD unit in mine but it is too high and is not flush with the trunk floor.

They get a crappy emergency kit I could buy from walmart for $10. We get an extra compartment to stash something more useful. I guess road flares might be useful though.

Speaking of emergency items, I keep a small shovel in the back of my XF during the winter just in case I get stuck (again). Kinda wish I could come up with some sort of strap or holster system so it would stop banging around in my trunk. That and the scraper.

If you can buy this kit for $10 let me know where and they still have the pocket in the foam.

I don't think that goes in the hole they were talking about, but that actually is pretty nice. I would think road flares would be better in low visibility situations though. What exactly comes in that bag?

My post #88 shows where this goes. In the bag is bandages, plasters, scissors etc. Its a basic 'I want to be a doctor kit'.
I think we do not get them in NA because if you bandaged someone up and they died you or Chrysler could be sued, so by extension its better to let them bleed to death as you watch and take photos on your phone, uploading them as they squirm.

Mine has this as standard and is indeed strapped to the rear of the trunk via a velcro strap.

I learned that he windows switches are opposite on the 04 than all the later models. Back to go up, front to go down. Also the autostick works different on the 04 than my SRT. When I was in D, and I hit it left from a stand still, it would put my in 4, then again to 3. Now it goes into the gear that I am actually in. Also that the fix a flat goo is very messy. Also that I like to open the glovebox by pushing the top part where you put the key rather than pull the bottom

I've learned (in the 17 months I've owned the most loveable car ever made):

1) There are yellow hose thingys running all over the car that operate pneumatic locks.
2) There is an additional electric lock on the roadster's trunk lid that locks ONLY during the 23 seconds the top is going up or down.
3) Only the cars with automatics do that "auto crank" thing.
4) The "autostick" is indeed more than an automatic transmission.
5) The OEM brake pads are $(%#.
6) The throttle reset procedure makes quite a difference (at least it does after running around town for a month.)

7) A Red Roadster will cause 20 year old girls to flirt with you no matter HOW old you are!

This may be a clue that the young girl is too vane to wear glasses.

That is more info on record, NA did not get them although they do come in Mercedes cars here. So they just saved money by not putting them in.
Cheap bar stewards.
I want one, so I guess I'll start looking. I want the exact medical kit and the triangle.
