My main concern with LIQUI MOLY is that NOBODY, absolutely NOBODY used the LIQUI MOLY (12") extension-tube to get the fluid into anything. They used either a hand-pump or gravity and a funnel. So if I go the LM22090 route then a trip to my local Harbor Freight Tools will be in order. https://www.harborfreight.com/gear-o...ump-61746.html
Already noted, as there seems to be a dire fence in differential oil viscosity based on your car’s year. Per the manual, my ‘04 calls for 75w-140 synthetic oil, all others like 75w-90… But here’s my thought: oil viscosity is like a rubber band: low range numbers don’t have the same flexibility/range as a higher viscosity rating, so I would suggest going with a good quality Synthetic gear oil (members recommended numerous brands, all great quality), and pick the higher viscosity range, I think it provides as good, or slightly better in temperature ranges (dessert, to ocean). As I tour with my XF all over the place, best having the extra viscosity protection across a broader range of driving conditions. I just had my done - car has 15k original miles, some under carriage shots as wee. Cheers! AB
We've been thru this over and over in the 12 years Iv'e been here. 75W-90 is what most of us use.
Same goes for motor oil, we all started with 0W40, those of us who pay attention have moved on to 5W40, as per MBs instructions.
Feel free and disagree with me, it only makes YOU wrong!

Every oil I've listed here is 75W-90, so I'm unsure of your point. But maybe your comment isn't addressed to me.
So here's the fill plug. I have the socket needed. Both the fill plug and the drain plug are 14mm Hex. Simple enough. I took super-blurry pictures so there can be no doubt! 🙄🤔 The fill-point is sorta blocked by the exhaust-pipe below & the emergency-brake-cable above, but you can get a "streamlined" liter gear-oil bottle (you know the shape, NOT like a bottle of engine-oil) on its side level with the hole. I'd definitely use either a pump or a 'squeeze pouch' to make the job easier.
I was waiting for guidance from the universe and the universe didn't disappoint! NAPA has a 20% off discount code that's valid through 1/31/2022... BLITZ20 for online orders only.
It saved me $10.02 and because my total was still over $35 I took advantage of their free shipping (since out of all the major auto-parts stores NAPA is the farthest from my house).
So I got 2 of these pups https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/AICLM22090
and 1 of these https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_19191
And I'll tell you HOW I decided on THAT gear oil pump!
Tell me it's not the exact same one as sold by LIQUI MOLY !!! https://products.liqui-moly.com/hand-pump.html
NAPA advertises it as for use with all 32oz/1 quart/1 liter gear oil bottles.
Am I living under a curse? I finally got my shipment from NAPA several days after the estimated delivery date. It was missing the 2 bottles of gear lube. Only the handpump was inside with a pull-sheet/picklist for JUST THE HANDPUMP. Also the UPS shipment info says the parcel weighs only 0.8 pounds! (just a single bottle of gear oil would weigh about 2 pounds, I think, and I ordered 2 of them) There's no indication the gear oil was ever shipped, even though NAPA claims it was. I'll call their customer service number on Monday.
Here's my question for you. The box had a small tear in it, just enough for someone to be able to reach inside and remove the gear oil, but not wide enough for it to fall out on its own, I think. Should I mention the tear to the NAPA help-line... or would that only complicate matters?

Was the box big enough to have two bottles of oil on it as well as the pump, I doubt it.
The hoses that come with it are long enough that I can fill the diffs on my jacked up 4wd trucks too with ease.
Its $16.
Good luck with napa. I always just buy local when I buy from them but Im friends with the local napa owner and he price matches and can get about anything overnight which is nice.

Thanks for the tip on the transfer pump. The ONLY REASON I ordered online was that NAPA offered a 20% discount for online orders only.
I finally got someone from NAPA on the phone today and they said they would ship out 2 new bottles of gear lube once she called and verified what I said about the package weight with UPS, so I'll just sit back & wait.
