Relentless Mechanical and Electrical Failures :-)
I have done as instructed, connected the positive probe in mA. Set the meter to mA. I have tried putting the positive probe on the positive post the the negative probe on the negative post. I've tried putting the positive probe on the positive post and the negative probe on the disconnected ground. The meter is set on AC. I don't get a reading either way. Any other sequence with the probes?
Checked in the trunk, under the foam and found no water, or dampness.
When I try to lock the doors automatically they don't work, but the lights blink.
Any suggestions?

The picture of the multimeter shows the symbol mA with a squiggle above it and three dots under the squiggle, that is what you want to select. I am a doofus when it comes to sparky stuff, but that is what my MM shows as well.
I guess this quip went over most peoples heads.
Nope, I got your requip to my quip .......

Go back and re-read Pizzaguy's post. You need to ONLY work with the NEGATIVE cable and the NEGATIVE battery post. The meter needs to be put in between the post and the cable, or what is referred to as "in series" - kind of like a fuse would be.
Hope that helps.
