A bit more off than I would like to admit actually. But I had the opening dimensions so that was the critical dimension to meet. My retainer tabs are too high by about 5 mm. So instead of snapping over the lower edge of the top panel, I had to cut them down and now they provide an interference fit.

I also mentioned before that I made one inadvertently about 20 mm more shallow than the production bin. So that's a spare right now. I will send it to anyone that wants it if you send an envelope mailer to send back to you. Just message me and it's yours. It will fill the hole and looks good, but it is not as deep as a real one. You should be able to see the difference in the photograph or the screen grabs.

Next I want to try to make a deeper one (and adjust the tab height). There is a lot of room under the bin. I would like my phone to fit almost flush so that it's out of the way. I would change the base and round the inside corners so that any coins trapped on the bottom could be dragged up and out. I was well on my way but trying to modify my original design model I created some inconsistent geometry and couldn't finish it.

I missed this thread before.
If there are any sizes you need let me know as I have one on the spares shelf.
I am not selling it as I may need it in the future.
Your bin looks pretty good, what CAD program did you use?
I found you could remove the OEM bin by by pushing the top side lips together and lifting it, it sure saves a lot of time removing the console, you then have a hidden space you can access to hide valuables if they fit.
As a matter of interest how long did that take to make?

I found out shortly after installing this piece that the material I used (PLA) is too heat sensitive. I have someone that is going to print one out of ABS or something comparable but I won't do that until I tweek the design again. I hope to create a design that I can post on thingiverse (3D printing design sharing site) but the one I have while serviceable is not something worth sharing. So for now I am withdrawing the offer for the spare I have. It won't last in the sun anyway. I'll keep working this. I did the design in Autodesk Fusion 360 which is offered free to hobbyists. It's easy to sign up.

Please let us know! Would love to be able to buy a 3D printed one as the OEM part is outrageous at $60+

Can you make one of those with a mount for a Qi phone charger?

I foam taped a phone charger to one side, and put foam on the other. Walla, that useless Cup holder/useless Bin just became a phone charger.

RE: 3D printed storage bin.
I just posted my storage bin design on Thingiverse.
The direct location is https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3080089

There are three file types listed so you should be able to find one compatible with software available. I just saved the file in different file conventions.
As I stated the tab locations are not perfect. But they can be cut back to make it fit properly. I would not bother printing in PLA because of it's heat sensitivity. Unless you wanted to attempt to fix the design and tune the tab locations. I understand it's easier to print PLA.

There is a lot of room to the tunnel in that location. I had a plan to radically change the design and go much deeper to be able to fit my phone with out much sticking out. I was going to radius the corners and put a raised wave into the bottom so coins wouldn't get stuck on the bottom, So if anyone has the urge go for it. You can get free hobbyist access to AutoDesk Fusion 360 and probably pick it up.

Again I sold my Crossfire so I won't be active on these boards, But I'll hang around a little while to make sure it's accessible.

$60? There was one on eBay for nearly a hundred dollars more, no takers though.
Look around there is another car maker who has one similar and it is found found on wrecks.Search this forum for the make and model.

Thank you very much for this. Do you think ABS would be good enough for heat resistance?

The original is made from a blend of PC and ABS.
