If not, he just had front brakes, which would work, just scary every time you hit the low brake pedal.

With the pads in place they would hit one another after .175 of travel nominally each, they would not retract any significant amount so brake pedal travel would be normal.
Pad retraction is caused by the seal returning to its normal shape, a matter of a thou or so.
That's what I see anyway.

There is no 'each', only the piston side would travel, but you are right, the piston should be able to travel .35 inches without losing the seal.

You sir have an annoying habit of always being right, and in this case, you are doing it again.

The pistons were already contacting one another, as they came together when he hit the brake and the caliper came off. I simply tied the assembly to the exhaust hanger. His pedal travel was normal. He made it home fine.

Default Re: return trip to Florida- Pkwy, 215, 276

Our return trip back to Florida was the Western Blueridge Pkwy(BRP), Rt 215 north, Rt 276 south, then hitail it back on I-26 & I-95, with a stop at Amelia Island to visit a classmate for a short.

Picked up BRP Western Entrance above Cherokee, NC, then North on Rt 215- 215 is a very "twisty" road there, 25-30 mph is about as fast as one could go for a short time.. then picked up Rt 276 south, with variable kinds of road, including some twisties and mountain roads. Looking Glass Falls is right on rt 276, and crowded. Driving to Caesar Head park, SC is a nice curvy, climbing stretch. In Greenville, SC we picked up I-26, then I-95, with a short visit to a classmate in Amelia Island, Fl and on south to homes in Brevard County, Florida.

len and I had a great time at crossfire Spring 2018. thanks to all ... Looking forward to the fall 2018 gathering.

A video of the Western BRP is at
.. here is a map of a portion of our route:

The Parkway is a nice venue for casual cruising. Speeds are always around 40 MPH +/- 5 MPH. If one has the time to spare, it is a very nice road trip. Fall season is usually spectacular all along the roadway.

Hey Lisa, You're too late for this Crossfire Dragon meet. This thread is for the Spring 2018 dragon . . . AND how did you get a 2016 Crossfire?? I won't comment about your spelling . . . "comeing" (on second thought I guess I will!) . . .

Have you been out partying again??
