Did they tell You that? As I remember the Lady I spoke with Did not mention Arizona as an Offending State. I thought that Odd.
Nor Nevada?

My most humble apologies!
OK, I am a believer... Just received my letter from Chrysler Customer Assistance Center, Auburn Hills, MI. It extends the Warranty period on the rear window for 10 years or 100,000 miles. I think al lot depends on who you bought it from and if they/you transferred the warranty. Apparently my seller did. I was not aware that the extended warranty was still valid since I did not do anything. It does state that "if you paid for a replacement, you may be eligible to receive a reinbursement". You need to bring the letter into the dealer, assuming they have not verified the warranty. Hope everybody will get it taken care of.

Just in case anyone is tracking it - I received the letter from Chrysler today. I bought my car used, 73K, now 78K, no hint of any warranties.
Unfortunately, my repair, following that described here on the forum, is holding beautifully. I did the two sides, but left the bottom because it was not bad enough, and helped hold the window in position while the sides were repaired. That may be enough.

Typical Chrysler, why should the delivery state matter ? My convertible was in a dealership in Pensylvania when I bought it ,but it was shipped to Texas with 45 miles on the clock, and has spent the rest of it's life here, so how is that different for the top compared to a car delivered originally to Texas ?
My window has not seperated (yet), but it's only a matter of time I'm sure

We got our letter yesterday, Monday. We bought our '05 from a mom/pop dealer in Carthage,MO. I have no idea where the original ship to state is, or how many owners she had before us, and was sold "AS IS" no warranty.
When we got home, I found some original registration forms in the glove box. I thought "what the heck" and filled them out and sent them in, one for each Xfire we own, who knew.
Now if we can just get them to talk to us about the "crease" thats showing up on a lot of the tops now, we might have something going here.

I received my letter yesterday. This is excellent word. I've attached a copy (I think) to show what it says. There are 2 pages. The 1st is your letter to take to the dealer and the 2nd is a claim form for those that already replaced their top. They can ask for a credit back from Chrysler.

Thanks to the original poster - sorry you were initially flamed as we all know how Chrysler is.
Got my letter yesterday. Window fell out over the summer. Already had appointment with dealer for next week. Will just add this on the to do list of repairs.
I just received my letter yesterday. Last month my window completely dropped out, so I did the 3M fix. It is holding, but my repair doesn't look the best, and since I completed the repair I have been afraid to drop the top.
I'm concerned that when I go to the dealership they will give me a hard time about replacing my top, due to the fact that I attempted to repair it myself.
Anybody have any insight on this? Also, can anyone reccomend a Chrysler dealership in the SW Florida area (Fort Myers, Naples, Bonita...etc) that will have the proper skills to do the job. I would hate to have a tech. damage my vehicle trying to replace the top.
Thanks!

Customer Care.
She is a "District Dispute Manager" and actually asked me to solicit phone calls from forum members that are excluded in this "X31 Adhesion" recall. And, yes. She used the word "Recall" a number of times.
She told me that if enough calls are received from owners that are miffed over the implication that they must never relocate to a southern state, the chances of Chrysler "opening up" the covered areas will increase a lot.
Only after pointing out to her that a number of owners had purchased their cars in the north and soon thereafter moved to a hot area did she agree that this initial "pick and choose" coverage really was ill-conceived.
So, even if you don't yet have a separation issue, call Chrysler Customer Care and get a complaint filed for future use.
And let everyone you know with a roadster about this. Apparently, there is "Strength in Numbers".

Did you take a picture when your window failed, if so send them the picture and get your claim in.
I had already repaired and paid for mine and they said I would be reimbursing me,so I put my claim in. GO FOR IT. All of us could use a NEW Top.
I just spoke with Chrysler and they told me that I have the extended warr for the glass as well....However, I just updated my address in their system and I believe they sent the letter to the last owners address...The Chrysler rep told me to go to the dealership and tell them I have the extended warr letter and tell them x31 and they can pull it up in the system...
Well I just got off the phone with Chrysler, and I was told that they cannot determine the original ship state of my wife's car. The original dealership was one of the ones chrysler closed down. The stealers, dealer we bought it from gave us the song and dance of it being a person car sold from their dealership. I do not recall if the wife got a carfax or not. So I was told to contact NHTSA. How do you get a case number. i have called numerous times to complain, and have not been able to get a case number i guess to make it so I have someting official to referance. thanks.

I called local dealer today and they didnt know anything about it so I called the customer service # on the Chrysler web page and it is true they extended the warranty to 100,000 miles on the rear window adressing the adhesion problem. It must be inspected by a dealer that has a Crossfire certified tech. It is Service Bulletin # 23-035-11 caled dealer back and he had the bulletin.
