Could it be cost. Account for the high exposure states this year and the other states in 2012? A limited top availability?
With forums like this a manufacture can't get away with much of anything so I'm thinking we seen an expansion of the TSB in January or a Class Action before March.
I saw the first post of an '06 failure. Could this indicate that the all years are exposed? Are the replacement tops going to be any better than the original?

Although I have not had a problem with mine, the vehicle did spend the first year of it's life on a sunswept gravel storage lot in So Carolina. One of the acceptable states. But then it was then shipped to a dealer in PA.
I wonder if it will eventually qualify?
I carried the Chrysler bumper to bumper warranty when I bought this car. The top was the primary reason. Chrysler has yet to honor warranty work on my roadster. Seems I wasted that cash.
I was thrilled to receive a letter from Chrysler covering any roof, or rear glass repairs in the next ten years! The letter came with the car I just bought from another Forum member. Evidently the top was covered because the car was first titled in NC, although I bought the car in OH. Now after all the joy, I hope I never have to use the letter.
Any lawyers following this forum?
Now that Chrysler has admitted a manufacturing problem with the rear glass installation would an owner have a good case for Small Claims Court.
I know limits vary from state to state. CA limit this year is $7,500 ($10,000 in 2012) and AZ is $2,500.

Picked up my car today and the tops looks just like the old one...My only complaint is that there is a seal on the passenger side that is coming loose...If I can't fix it myself, I will be returning to the dealership to have them fix it...Overall, not a bad job though...I'm so glad to my new window and hopefully no more leaks or window problems...I had my car repaired at Allen Samuels Chrysler off of 610 near Reliant Stadium.

Under items 3 & 4, is there any way to get "blah, blah, blah"?
My dealer is outsourcing the work and I'd like to make sure the installer has the information should he require it.

guess I need to go to the dealer and see if mine is covered sometime...haven't had any problems, but you never know. Hopefully mine came from a southern climate, but I doubt it. It came from southern IN...
If you are having an issue with the delamination of the glass from your convertible top (like I am), and getting the runaround from Chrysler, file a complaint with U.S. Department of Transportation's Vehicle Safety Hotline. That's the first step to making sure your complaint is documented and that your voice is being heard. Their number is 1-888-327-4236. Be proactive ~ there is strength in numbers and "certain" 2005 Crossfire owners should not be excluded just because the point of delivery was not in one of the designated states that is being covered under the recall if it's experiencing the exact same problem. Make that call today
Have an appointment 70 miles away on 10 Nov to get the top installed. Girl said it would take 2-3 hours to do but they wanted to allow for 4-5 hours as they have done other year Crossfires but never a 2005.
LOL!
Anyone have this done yet and have a time frame for the install?
Should I get a hotel room in case they can't figure it out?

I got the letter about six weeks ago and took it to my local dealer right away. No action despite bi weekly calls on my part. Last Friday I got a call asking my current milage saying that was required to order the top.
I was told it would take 3 to 5 days for the top to arrive and a day for installation. No word all this week.
When I stopped by today I was told the top was ordered and should be in next week. When I asked if they had located an installer he said yes the suspension guy was going to do it. ???
I told him I am not feeling warm and fuzzy about that. I will talk to the suspension man next week to see why he is qualified to do this installation. Stay tuned this may not end well.

Well he does work on things that go up an down.
At least I get to drive 70 to have a REAL shop put my top on. Good luck with your install!

Thanks Tighed, I would much prefer to take a nice 70 mile drive to an experienced installer. I have been searching the internet for one today. The service manager said Chrysler would not allow him to send the work out???

Though I suspect you are being steered in the wrong direction.

In my dealings with Chrysler to get my top replaced, no one seemed to know what was going on...keep on them if you don't get an answer that sounds reasonable to you.
