Nope, I didn't. The repair is not perfect, but close. I wouldn't let someone try to improve on it unless it fails. I am sure the lower edge will continue to separate, so I'll start taking photos now, and keep that letter from Chrysler in a very safe place.
Michael

Yeh thats what I thought but the"custermer rep" had no clue. Claims that he could not find it's original destination. I guess I will have to invest in a carfax and find out for myself .

I called the local Chrysler dealer this morning and he tells me my vehicle is covered for this problem for the next 3 years! I have no extended warranty of any sort and the original sale location of my CF was 8/11/04 in Carmel, NY.
Call your dealer, give them the last 8 digits of the VIN and then they will ask for the TSB#. Worked for me. WooHoo!!

BTW, to date I have received no letter from Chrysler, that is why I called.
Good luck all!!

I'm concerned that when I go to the dealership they will give me a hard time about replacing my top, due to the fact that I attempted to repair it myself.
Anybody have any insight on this? Also, can anyone reccomend a Chrysler dealership in the SW Florida area (Fort Myers, Naples, Bonita...etc) that will have the proper skills to do the job. I would hate to have a tech. damage my vehicle trying to replace the top.
Thanks!

I see no mention of original shipping delivery point and there is a subsequent posting from NY so I get the feeling they've removed that criteria and opened it up to any 05 with the glass coming loose. If that's the case it is wonderful news.
The description of repair does not include "Glue it back in if you think it will hold." For those of you with some experience, is this shaping up to be a blanket replacement with the new top? For an OEM quality new top with no wrinkles in the side and no medial ripple at the rear, I'd risk letting a good shop do it. For anything less, it might be smarter to be reimbursed for a couple of tubes of 3M Window Weld.

I do intened to revisit this. And it would be great for the delivery restrictions to be removed Keep in mind that many dealers simply do not have all the intel.

Is it possible not all dealers are up to speed yet? You would think so, in this day and age, but who knows?

My car was shipped to California and we all know it dosen't get hot here, Ha.
Next I called Chrysler Complaints at 800-247-9753 to give notice that this recall must be opened up to a more sensible criteria such as, is the top failing? This allowed me to get a case number. We'll see what will happen. Not the best situation but one step at a time right.
To everyone that is in line for a new top congratulations!!!!
The Part Number brings up a complete cloth top for $609 to $677 depending on the parts house.
