Transmission issues
So I recently bought an 05 Roadster, and I'm having issues with the tranny "slipping" or "missing". Also, I changed the oil and my oil wreaked of gasoline and was very thin. I'm thinking it may be the fuel injector, but I'm not exactly "mechanically inclined" so it's just a guess.
Any ideas? I'm just devastated because it was love at first sight for me with her, and I was SO EXCITED to come across it! I just need to get it fixed so I can drive it and enjoy it ..not be worried and nervous

Many times a slipping AT is caused by the AT fluid (ATF) being low. Buy a Mercedes-Benz 722.6 dipstick like this one:
and check your fluid level. If that fixes the problem you next have to ask yourself WHY it was low.
If your car has any error codes (the CHECK ENGINE light is on) read those FIRST and proceed accordingly.

PS DuelSportDad is very near you. He owns Crossfires himself and will travel to help you. I would recommend you call him.

And know that a Mercedes dealership will not work on your crossfire. Evenb though it has just about a 100% mercedes drivetrain/parts, they snub their nosed at crossfires because of the messy divorce. An independent european mechanic with SLK320 experience (and the like) will know the drivetrain front to back. Good luck!

I bought a 2005 XFire sport coupe about 3 months ago. Found this forum right away.
About a week ago, the transmission started to drop into "safe" mode, where it won't shift above 2nd and limits speed to 35 mph. Thanks to this forum, I knew about the leaky electrical connection on the transmission. Checking under the car, yes, it was leaking xmssion fluid -- that I knew would be brown instead of red thanks to the knowledge I found here.
Pouring through the ample documentation on this site, I found that I could attempt the job myself. I chose instead to find a MB certified shop and with what I gleaned from this site, directed them on what I wanted done to repair the car.
I was right -- the xmission had lost at least two liters of fluid, causing the safe mode. The connector was leaking. They also found that the transmission gasket was also leaking. It was nearly three liters of ATF low.
Bottom line, $675 and it's fixed. Seems worth it to me. No other codes came up and it's good for another 100,000 miles. And it drives.

I just performed this maintenance (and more) in my home garage. I find it "humorous" that Chrysler refers to this problem as NOT AN ACTUAL LEAK in their service bulletin. No, the pilot bushing is merely "weeping". Please don't say it's leaking. (the SERVICE BULLETIN is attached as an Adobe document)
When you drop the pan and change the filter you are supposed to have 5 liters of ATF in your receptacle. Well I only had 3.3 liters. So my pilot bushing 'wept away' 1.7 liters. But it DIDN'T LEAK 1.7 liters!

trying to remove old electronic connector, 6 mm bolts spins but does not loosen or tighten. Any thoughts
If you are talking about the single bolt on the electrical adaptor, it is a captured bolt. Did it loosen at first or spin right from the start. If it was free spinning right from the start, try to disconnect it. Maybe it was never tightened.
I bought one that I could not get the bolt to start. After 15 minutes of trying, I went and got my old man glasses and could see the threads were not cut right. The adaptor does snap into place and threads very easily.
It is a cheap part. Maybe bad threads are common. Maybe someone tried to put in new and couldn't start the bolt and said good enough it snapped into place.
