I saw this Limited coupe and it turns out I knew the owner from a local cruise night. he usually drives his Porsche. This was his first time out with his recently purchased Crossfire.

"Svengoolie" thought we were going to Greece!
Crossfires in Athens event May 29 - June 1, 2025
I just got home yesterday from the event in Athens Ohio.
When I preparing for the trip I was very nervous because I had never driven Sven this far before. I packed spare parts, tools, my scanner etc..
The drive there was around 517 miles and about 8.5 hours time. We did a lot of driving to different locations. Then it was another roughly 517 miles back home to New Jersey.
I estimate that Sven did around 1,350 miles total. I'm proud to say he did it flawlessly!
This is a great event! We had 39 Crossfires and about 53 people attending. The event hosts did an excellent job and everything was well planned.
Thursday kicked off with a great dinner for everyone.
Friday it rained and was cold but we still had a lot of fun on the stern wheeler the "Valley Gem". Friday night was a pizza party with door prizes and a raffle.
Saturday the sun came out and we split into groups. We had 10 cars in our group and drove to a Mexican restaurant on some really great roads! I pushed Sven really hard, I was driving him like I was being chased by Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane himself! (Dukes of Hazzard). We were going around tight corners and over hills that you couldn't see what on the other side. It gave me that same feeling like a roller coaster when you get the weightless feeling!
Saturday, after we got back there was a mini car show and prizes were handed out for different categories. The cars that one were all voted on by the other drivers and they deserved their awards.
Every night after dinner the Crossfire family would all hang out together and talk, joke around and just relax.
If you've never been to the Athens event, get off your butt and go!
Here are some pics:

It was great meeting you as well! That was a great event and I'm looking forward to returning next year.
The Woodward cruise sounds great, but I won't be able to attend. I might go to the Amish Country event in the fall.

Svengoolie doesn't like fences! June 25, 2025.

Well I was backing Sven out and I don't know if the wind blew one of the fence gates close, or if I was in such a rush that I didn't open it.
In any event, I backed into the gate. At least it moved when I hit it so there's no structural damage, but it did go down to the primer.
I'm going to take it to the local repair shop and see what he says about it. Hopefully it might be something I can fix, or an inexpensive fix.

Ouch!
Ouch!

"Svengoolie" brings home some hardware... even with a scratch! June 22, 2025
Today I took Sven to a car show with some friends at the Panther Valley Mall annual car show. It's located in Allamuchy Township, New Jersey.
It was a crazy day! The weather was predicted to be sunny and close to 100*F. It ended up raining a few times with thunder and lightning. Eventually it stopped and the show continued.
Another weird thing was the announcer's mic kept going out while they were handing out the awards. He had to keep swapping between 2 mics about 12 times to get through the awards!
Of course the sun came out as soon as we left!

"C" body hot rod. It was made from an old milk delivery van. It's powered by Chrysler, body by Ford and has Chevrolet parts in it as well!

The birdie is a sign of both great respect and jealously! LOL! Congrats on the trophy! You deserve it for helping all of us to maintain our cars to your high standards.

"Svengoolie" goes for his 2 year check up. June 23, 2025

Sven passed Motor Vehicle inspection with flying colors.
He also got a lot of attention. So much attention, that a young lady started the inspection, then her coworker talked to her and he drove Sven through the rest of it!
I guess he wanted to drive my car as well. LOL I got a lot of the usual "what kind of car is that" questions while waiting in line, and some compliments. Except for the over 100*F temperature, it was a good day.

I finally had a day to myself, well after I took my neighbor to his doctor's appointment. It was finally a great weather day in New Jersey! No rain, no 102*F burn your face off weather!
Anyway, I just took "Svengoolie" out and drove all day with the top down. We drove to the Chrysler dealer to see my friend... who decided to take the day off! LOL Also somebody parked a New Jeep in front of me and I couldn't leave until they got the keys! Then we just drove around hitting the highway, errands, lunch, a park and finally ending up for the Wednesday night cruise night. It was great just to cruise around with nothing to do for a change.
At Riker Hill Park in Livingston, NJ. It used to be part of a Nike Missile base.

I'll agree with you both. Looks like a well kept Roadster. Says something about the owner.
