"Svengoolie" gets hammered! April 21, 2025.

Today is Svengoolie's 2nd "Gotcha Day".
So I thought that I would have a little fun making this post.
(And no, I wasn't drunk when I made this post. However, I can't say the same for Sven!)

Having a beer with the car made my day!
I will never have to drink alone again!
Took me a minute to see the glove on the Crossfire.
Plus Elvira and the Hanson Brothers on the wall is perfect!

Also thanks. We have learned a lot from you.
Jim

I like making the "how to" posts and I appreciate your enjoying them and the kind words.
I used #10 ground wire to make the fingers in the glove to hold the beer bottle, which was full. Both beers were full, "were" being the keyword LOL!
Elvira & The Hanson Brothers have been up there for over 20 years. I actually met Cassandra Pederson in the 1990's, she looks hot without the make up too!
Thanks,
John

Some pics from the car show that I went to Sunday. The first is mine, the rest are some of the other cars that were there.

John has been an awesome asset to the forum. His posts about Svengoolie are down-to-earth with many detailed pictures. Good luck with your self help repair, and I agree you need to find a different mechanic!

Just a quick question: When I bought the car it was advertised as a "Limited" roadster, but my mechanic listed it as a "Base"- then on the inside door panel it says "SRT6". It doesn't specify on the title and when I looked up the Vin it sowed "Limited". How can I be sure what model I have?

Photos of the car, the engine and the vin would help.

Your car "Lilly" is a beautiful Crossfire Limited! A limited has Silver windshield surround moldings, Silver side strakes on the fenders, leather - heated - power seats, silver engine cover, rear speakers and an amplifier.
Svengoolie is a Base model. Base models only came in black. Cloth seats, no power seats, no heated seats no fog lights, & the engine cover is dark gray. Basically the "no frills" model. Just the way I like it!
The SRT6 has a fixed large rear wing that does not move. They have mostly the same features as the Limited model, the engine cover is unique to the SRT6, the wheels have many more spokes than the base or limited & it has a supercharger on the engine.
There is also another model called the Special Edition. It's sort of a mix between the three other models. It's like a dressed up version of the base model. The wheels look like the SRT6 wheels, the windshield trim is black, silver side strakes, cloth interior, no fog lights, etc... I think they were only sold in red and were only made as roadsters.
Here are examples of the different models.
I hope that this was helpful,
John

Wow, thank you so much for all the information. Svengoolie is just beautiful and very cool. I agree with less is better, which is why I sold my 2016 and didn't buy a new vehicle- too many bells and whistles to go down. I knew I was an old foggie when I had my top and hydrolics replaced and needed a rental car- I got in and there was no key, and I had to have the guy show me how to work it .
Thanks again for all your help, and take care.

The engine in the SRT is a hand built AMG engine with a supercharger.

Svengoolie turns 50! May 25, 2025
We were on our way to the M&M Mars annual "Memorial Madness" car show in Hackettstown, New Jersey.
Then at 9:00 am Sven hit the 50,000 mile mark. I pulled over so that I could take the picture.

Svengoolie get's free M&Ms! Part 1 May 24, 2025
Saturday we took Svengoolie to the "Memorial Madness" car show at Mars Wrigley candy HQ in Hackettstown, New Jersey.
It was a great show with around 600 cars!
Here are some pics from the show:
