The crank bolt on the car is 1 time use only. Once properly torqued it stretches and CANNOT be reused.

x2 The crank bolts are just like head bolts on pretty much all newer cars(past 10 years or so) and are stretch bolts. If you reuse them they can still "work" but most of the time will still be loose when re-torqued.................or will just snap in half.

What's the name of the track where they run this event? I'll put it on my calander. Las Vegas is much closer trip for me.
They have it at Nellis Air Force Base and it's called the "High Roller Shootout". Last year it was on September 30th I believe as it was right after my birthday.
This talk of stretchy bolts had me thinking. A friend of mine was telling me that the bolts that hold the intake manifolds on are stretchy bolts too and should be replaced if removed.
Can anyone verify that for me?

If you are referring to the intake plenum bolts they are set a 7ft/lbs. If they experience bolt stretch at 7ft/lbs I think we have much bigger problems
