Woody I apologize to you for thinking you started this thread as a cicci promotion, I misunderstood the reason for it.

I hope you find a good host for your photos, you do good work on these cars and I am sure you will continue to come up with neat stuff for them.

I am going to do my best to just ignore the other stuff and concentrate on my lifes work, faking timeslips and track videos and working with Hollywood to bring you guys those special fx you love so much in the movies

 

I think eventually like all things the sites participents will determine its fate. As long as people want to share there love of these cars then all sites representing these cars will flourish. I for one joined this site to learn about our cars. I joined CICCI to hopefully glean more info about our cars. Thinking some sites would have more info than others. That was my sole purpose. So to me bashing, whining or whatever you want to call it takes away from any learning experience forum members might have. I enjoy what anyone has to say, good or bad. I love learning!

Maybe we could properly discuss improvements that could be made to this site. Then in a professional, formal manner we could present those to Julian...seems people take to professional requests a lot more than simple posts complaining, IMO of course.

Any constructive comments for THIS forum?

Woody, thanks for clarifying why you started this rant...I mean thread. I tried to read the whole thing and could not really figure out the focus.

I like this site and have learned a lot from it. I don't have a reason to join the CC thing but have no issue with others enjoying it.

CrossfireCommunity.net is dead. The last posting was October. I've stopped going over there and wonder why it still exists.

 

Who actually owns this forum board? Does anybody know?

 

Where are the ads for CICCI? Are they the banner ads, or are they in random posts? I haven't really seen them. (I've thought of joining, but haven't yet.)

Okay I have no idea what is going on, I think I will just stay over at the Corvette forum . I have a headache from reading this and I'm hungry.

I am like 240 in that I never really understood the gallery section so I left it alone. If I wanted to upload pics, I use tinypic.com and post them directy on my posts......Very simple.

Okay I kicked in some money for the cause. I figure I have saved a whole lot of money thanks to this sight and the information which keeps me from blindly running to the dealership. Everybody should think about that fact. How many of you were able to self diagnose and replace your IC Pump thanks to all of the wonderful people on here. What would have happened if this sight were not around. We could be stuck going to a sight full of Ah***s that are more worried about beating up on people than helping them. Come on people you have to support the sight nothing in life is free and if it is you probably don't want it.

you would be surprised at just how cheap it is to run a forum. for a large amount of storage/bandwidth it runs you under $300/year. I bet the site owner makes way more than that a month with the sponsors and google ads, not that there is anything wrong with that.

 

I am back, like it or not....and I don't advertise pal...for you or anybody....this forum like any forum could go away tomorrow...and you know that...you just want your way, just like someone wanted the political threads banned...this is public, no one gets banned, no one is accountable for what they say or do here...its a free for all...like it or leave, take it or leave it...if you push people will push back...its too bad because you have given a lot of useful info about your mods, and posting photos and such, then the "****" comes out every once in awhile, sometimes I understand it, other times it seems you are calling individuals out, which to me is plain old "intimidation"...too bad...nice car, nice mods, nice times, but is the driver? That's the mystery here...you are nice one minute, in someone's face the next. And you say you are just kidding...right...Eli Lilly is based in Indianapolis, so I could probably get Prozac for you cheap if you are ever interested...could help with you CICCI aflection...just a thought or am I just kidding
