I am ready to send my srt6 axle wherever it needs to go here are some of the pic, i took of the axle. the grove in the end of the axle where the clip goes is .87= 87/100
the clip is .78 = 78/100
the axle is in its unsprung mode =not pushed in or pulled out it is 39" long.

i spoke with Devin last week and gave him my info for deposit so you can put me on list if need be, also spoke with him today and he said they feel the design is simmular to the LX carrier, just waiting on axles.

I made my deposit today ,,spoke to Devin and told him of my find ,,,we had a charger sxt 3.5 six cyl, I just happen to have my srt6 spare rear with me ,,i measured every thing from length to bolt pattern everything is the same except yoke,,,it has the same yoke as the limited, it comes with a 306 ratio devin is checking to see if the rears are really the dame inside and out if yes thst means the charger 6 cyl group would also be interested in a wavetrac ( there is no factory posi for the 6cyl charger) that i found anyway with all the members here maybe we could find more info. jim
If the rears are the same, the rear means that the parts are available for a repair and or replacement. Im assuming that the chrysler company charges less than MB does or did. Woody
Jim, did you ever get a hold of an SLK stub axle to check if they could use the snap-ring? Devin said he received and brought an axle to Autotech, but I'm assuming it is the SRT one that you sent.
Rudy sent me the stub a week ago,,My son came over to help because i had eye surgery on monday and was told don't bend over don't lift ,,,just rest. anyway weI tried a stock spring clip (.076) it would not work, the axle would not go into the gear th spring clip was too big, then i tried a smaller one that i had, (.060) the axle went in but had so much play it would have leaked oil at the seal. then i tried two of the .060 they fit perfect into the axle and went into the rear like it was soppose too ,,very little play, movement,,about the same as a stock axle,,, then i tried to remove the stub axle , i pried from the inside i pulled from the outside, I had to again remove the spring clips with two LITTLE screwdrivers working inside the rear, now 8 days later my son is comming over tomorrow to re try with a new spring clip. so i will have a answer tomorrow. i hope. jim

OH MY !!!!

(the devil made me do it)
Sounds like it will work, we just need to determine the correct size spring clip...
Sorry, wasn't trying to sound impatient... I know we ALL have lives outside of our cars and the forums. Hope you heal up soon!

I was working on the srt6 diff today to get the C32 axle to work into the wavetrac,, ok i got it to work, a pic is worth 1000 words so read this, if u don't understand send me your questions, Here is what i did.
i removed the c-clip from the axle stub, and install a srt 6 spring clip ,,would not go into the gear(rear end) I then went to my guy he sold me some spring clips ,in pairs 4 different ones ,, the dia.of the stub axle shaft is 1.160 with a grove for the c-clipat 1.30 and .070 wide the srt spring clip is .078 but it was too tight it would not go into the rear. then i tried a spring clip that is .060 and about 1" circle ,i had to close it up until i had 1/4" gap ,this worked ok but i wanted less play of the axle in and out,, so i installed two of this .060 spring clips it worked good , but now i couldn't get the axle out of the rear,, i rented a slide hammer , and removed the axle in removing the axle it destroyed one of the spring clips,( bent it into a S . so i went back to the single spring clip .060 dis 1" circle and it seems to work good ,,yes there is a little play but i think it will be ok, i'm going back tomorrow to see what spring clips i can get, if it was my car i would install two of the .060 spring clips and install it ,knowing the rear will not brake i would leave it that way ,with the minimum play. , i will be calling Devin tomorrow and let him know what i have done ,,, i have been in touch with him for the last week or so on this. jim
