To paraphrase their website; "oil analysis is a quick, nondestructive way to gauge the health of an engine by looking at what's in the oil". They can check for any problems developing (coolant in the oil, any and all internal metal breakdown, or determine if less frequent oil changes are acceptable; a cost savings,or if more frequent changes are in order). I'll be adding a second vehicle to my Blackstone account when I do my next oil change. I look forward to your results atlsrt44.

We send oil samples from our drive gear boxes for the extruders to be tested regularly and it has saved us several times from expensive break downs ,,,, But this equipment runs 24/7 365 days a year .....and a lot of heat...

It also will show whether the 7000mile oil change is working or not.
ok they didnt email the results like I'd wanted so I'm going to have to type in what the letter says. So here are their comments word for word...
"Will: First off, sweet car! The supercharged AMG 3.2L under your SRT Crossfire's hood is looking very good at 50,688 miles. Universal averages for this type of engine are based on about 9600 miles on the oil. Your oil was in use for 6,800 miles, but the wear accumulation is still generally lower than expected after the short oil change. That's an excellent indication that your engine's internal parts are all in good condition. The viscosity was a touch low for 5W/40 oil, but shearing was probably the cause since no contamination was found. No problems found."
For the record I use valvoline synpower 5w-40, k+n filter and I change the oil when the car tells me to. If anyone wants more info as to the exact numbers let me know.

It's nice piece of mind getting a favorable report isn't it.

well the table didnt copy and paste quite right but anyways the first number is what my number was, second was unit average and third was universal average.
For the viscosity and so forth top is what mine was bottom is what it should have been.

I had mine tested and I'm attaching the results. I drive 1.1 miles to work five days per week which has to be tough on an engine which I assume is the reason for the high copper number.
