You are too kind, I was thinking of getting him of the road and into a padded cell. LOL

Uh, guys - I'm not the one in the PICKUP.
Hell, had he not got in my way, I would have made it to the top without touching the brakes.

(Ran again harder, about 40 minutes later, no traffic at all - never used brakes and stayed in my lane all the way to the top!)

The next time there is a Crossfire event at a school/track like a few weeks ago - I'm gonna be there.

I SHOULD have gone to North Carolina this summer with the group.
(Might have to buy a car with a real roof first, tho. Gotta check into that.)

I want an SRT Roadster, but it occurs to me that, maybe, I don't.

HE was all over the road - says the guy who was making ample use of both lanes!

I like how excited he gets when he passes someone.

Thanks for that video, PizzaGuy. Think I'll have to take a trip up to Blood Mountain. Passed by it a few times, never knowing it was
there. Another good road is the Ft Mountain road from Chatsworth over to Elijay. Keep the smile, it's priceless.

First I'd like to say I didn't read all the posts in this thread but I'll share a bit. When I bought this "car" I said to myself, "self, your going to jail or going to die if your not careful." Right then and there I made the decision to find every track in P.R. and take the car to where I could do what it does best. It's strange, I get to the track and don't remember just how fast it is and have to take a few laps relearning. The track, truthfully, is the best place. It's a touch expensive I admit, but that's where you can really appreciate it's capabilities to the fullest.

As to the smile - Well, first of all, I enjoy running with someone - anyone! But he was a jerk, I waited for him at the pullover at the top, but he just floored it and ran off.

And like I said, I really need to get to a course and wish I'd not missed out on North Carolina now.

I DID have a good run on GA60 (which is a DONT MISS if you come up this way, Coyote!) As Bill from GenCoupes said, there are TWO ways over Blood Mountain and in a way - 60 is better, but 129 has two lanes so you dont get slowed down nearly as much. Take a look at the map, 129, 60 and 180 make a loop - but 60 as it runs northwest from that loop is a 33 mile long stretch of curves.

My group will be taking 60 our of Dahlonega this October to Mineral Bluff, then on to the Dragon. I like 129, but 60 is better and the fun lasts a LOT longer.

I think he should slow down or get a coupe, or he'll soon need a toupee, that hair is getting thinner with every run with the top down.

That's not too far off from the Fort Mountain run on State road 52 from Chatsworth to Elijay. In fact,
I could do that run, then up 5N when reaching Elijay and swing over 515 to pickup the start of the
route you described. There are just so many good roads up there around the tri-State area. I sure
wish gas was still around $1.20/gal., as I'd spend a lot more time and tires working those mountain
roads.

You're right, I am so sorry for creating this monster we lovingly call Mark. I'm doing all I can to get him off the public roads and at a track where he can have loads more fun.
