Well here we are at the close of another business week , no update,no photos.
We are somewhere around 90 weeks into our 8 to 10 week build. So sad,so sad.
I see on Facebook someone has stepped up to defend Coreys honor. This is not the first time Corky has screwed a customer around, one guy ended up taking his Turbo home in the trunk when he ran out of patience waiting.. how does one defend a scammer like this? maybe 2 weeks, maybe 2 weeks

Well I guess they are not waiting for the parts to come back from the Powdercoater to start the car, because the photos show they haven't been sent yet.
Not seeing a whole lot different in these photos from the last ones. Looks like more welding before they go to the Powdercoater..Oh well, 2 weeks, 2 weeks..

Surprised, surprised, I would be surprised if more had been done, this has been the norm for almost 2 years. Months and months ago they posted they were moving it up on their priority list and dedicating a guy to it. I don't know where it would be if not moved to the priority list. I would be surprised if they get this built in 2013 and these bumbling bullshitters get it running.

Well close of another business week, and all we got was 3 lousy photos. They were farther ahead a year ago. Here is a "cut and paste" from 06/10/2012.

DJ,
A good week. Considerable progress. Again, I am answering w/o pictures.

I’ll try to get a picture album your way soon.

It looks like driving this thing might be within 10/15 days.

Squeeze, crossfingers, pray, all that sort of stuff. The first drive will be the biggest impression……. But surely not the last impression.

All the best,

Corky

O.K. now we have the last impression and it's Bullshit

Just got an email from BEGi... REALLY.. SEE THE CROSSFIRE FORUM FOR DETAILS.. HAHAHAHAA

Chrysler Crossfire Turbo System
The rumors are true! The rear mounted turbo system will feature a Garrett or Chinese turbo, stainless lines, and BEGI quality components. See the Crossfire Forum for more information!

For what it's worth, I have a Jeep TJ in my collection, and Banks just released a bolt on turbo kit for the 4.0L I6. MSRP is $2950, and while they haven't started shipping yet they have HUGE interest and a lot of pre-orders.

I realize the Jeep market share is significantly larger than the Crossfire market, so the economy of scale will play in, but the point I'm getting at is that the $2-3k target price range is not unreasonable for a complete, bolt on, ready-to-run kit. I know I'd buy one for the Crossfire at that price point.

Looks like another couples weeks have come and gone with no updates or pictures, go figure. I see their Facebook page that had not been updated in a year has been very active the last couple months, but not much for us. Maybe 2 more weeks.

Mrmiata.. "BEGi wont let me comment on the facebook page.. Time for an alias I do believe.".

I think Mr.Arrow Blue Girl would be a nice alias

The guy I was ragging on over this a couple of weeks ago was joining up with them to do pictures and help with facebook.. "And surely I was full of sh*t with my comments".. Told him he would fit right in.. and looks like he does! He was going to verify and get back with me.. sure he did..

Another week comes to a close.. and no updates.. shocking!

(Beat ya this time Bart!)

Did get an email response today.. so they at least unlocked the door for a little bit..

Greg,
The photographer is a friend doing us a favor. We don’t pay him a dime. You will get your money back when the system is done. Until then, no amount of slander, lies, or otherwise is going to change things. We are close to having the rear mount system done.

Stephanie

My Response:

Please understand.. "Lies" are your specialty.. "2 more weeks" should sound real familiar!

Will there be any NA's left on the road when this kit is ready for market?

I'm absolutely devastated you did the post first. Calling you a liar is so bad, at least when they came on the forum lying to all of us forum members I was polite enough to say "they were being less than truthful.
Then progressing to "they have the Bullshit on the wrong side of the boots"
then straight Bullshit..but never called the liers Liers. They should have their mouths washed out with soap.

So not one thing they have announced has happened, not one. I think with a 90 week overrun on a 8 to 10 week build, we should be allowed our deposit back. Not exactly a slight delay. I don't think there will be anyone wanting one of these kits when ( and if ) they are ever done, for us to get our money back.
Possibly for their Crossfire with Collector plates.

Haha classic... I didn't realize it was so difficult to operate a digital camera and post pictures to their website for investors and potential customers. Missing the promised date of completion by 2 years with little to no transparency is a true sign of a reputable company... SAID NOBODY EVER! Maybe BEGI is hoping crossfire enthusiasts looking to upgrade their cars wouldn't notice this forum... At this point I would gladly pass on BEGI.

I thought I wanted to look into a turbo; turns out I might as well drop that off the wish list...

Here is something I didn't know about our NA cars, so I copied and pasted it from Begi's Facebook:

BEGi / Bell Engineering It should. Most any engine can handle 6 psi or so. Plus, this application has a supercharger OEM too. We are not anticipating that there will be an issue.
