Odd issue
Open the hood and use the dipstick to check the oil level, and yes do it now. When you are standing in front of your car with the hood open the dipstick is to your left with a small red handle. If the oil is a little low on the end simple add about a half quart.
I asked my wife to check it, but, she’s a nurse and I don’t know when she can break away and the car is, of course, in secured parking. We had the oil changed like a week ago and I drove it yesterday without any issues. We’re running synthetic, but, I don’t know the weight.
I had my wife open the hood and she checked the dipstick, it was low. She then started looking around and found oil on the pan and then on the ground. We’re having it taken to the place that changed the oil to get it checked. You know, it’s always something..,
Yep, another issue with having someone else change the oil is often they do not fully seat the filter or replace all of the O rings. Be sure they are familiar with Mercedes engines.
You can't hire ANYTHING done anymore. Even a simple task like an oil change is too much for the average "professional". Just ask anyone who has had work done on their house or car.
We are descending into collective helplessness.

What’s the betting they did it wrong again? Filter cap?
A friend of mine's mother took her car to a Jiffy Lube for an oil change and they didn't put the bolt back in the oil pan. Engine ruined. What kind of idiot forgets to put the bolt back in? I'm guessing they just threw 5 quarts in from the top and it all drained out into the pit before they even started the car. You know there are lazy "professionals" out there who just toss the new o-rings that come with our filters and leave the old ones in place... Can't be bothered with doing it right and who's gonna know? Same idiots who can't be bothered with putting a bead of oil on the rubber gasket before screwing a common filter back on and then tighten the thing to the point you need a breaker bar to get it off. There's a reason they make all kinds of straps and sockets to break them lose.

I’ve really had a good experience with this company, but, it was obvious when I went to pick it up that they knew that they screwed up (thus, free repair, and they offered to drop it off if I could wait until the next morning). I thought that an oil change would be easy money to them. I agree that it’s freaking hard to find people where “professional” actually means something. I’m just glad that they didn’t cause real damage. I appreciate the comments and I hope everyone has a great week.

I am very wary of things going sideways when dealing with anyone these days.......whether it’s Service or Intersections.
I do my own oil changes, but even if I used someone I knew, I would specify the oil and the filter accompanied with a diagram of the o rings, making sure they acknowledged. if you can get someone on a one on one, giving them the impression you have a bit more sense and concern for whatever they are doing for you, and indicate you are the kind of guy who follows up.
Caveat Emtor

I"ve been saying that since July 5, 2009. Without this group, there is no way I'd have owned three of these cars.
