Default Telescoping wheel lock

Hey guys need a little help. Short story is that I broke the steering wheel adjustment lever right off. I barely pulled on it and it came right off. Now i found instructions on removing the lower cover to get to it. But I haven't found any on the lever itself or how it is suppose to look like/ parts I will need...etc. Do any of you guys have any diagrams on how that lever is suppose to look like and part numbers?
Thanks!

And it appears that the service manual makes no mention of it, either.

Not that I could find, anyway.

Thanks for taking the time to try and help me. I know I looked through that thing for three hours today and couldn't find anything about it. It was helpful with helping me getting the dash apart and I jimmy rigged it back together and its working now but it doesn't feel the same and I know it isn't right that's why I wanted to see a Diagram because I know at least one if not two things connecting the lever to the cable are broke.

Here are all the parts from the parts manual.

Penman, I did the same thing. Did you ever get it fixed properly and how did you do it?

This is an old thread from the fall of 2013. If you click on his name, then click on VIEW PUBLIC PROFILE, you will see his last activity was in the spring of 2014.

So I'm guessing I won't hear from him. Thanks for the information.

The vehicle I bought had the same issue. I bought an entire column complete with lock, on ebay for $60. Haven't fitted it yet, but looking at the mechanism, I think replacing the column is the only way to fix the broken lever, as it all seems to be integral to the column.
Replacing the column does not look fun either!
