Default Stripes on xfires

I see very little stripes or decals offered on x fires and have read where some people don't think the design and shape of the car lend it to looking well with stripes. So being retired and bored this winter, I will offer a couple of suggestions that you can do yourself if you are so inclined. No one needs to ride my butt here about car purity, The car has 134,000 miles on it and the stripes will peel off a whole lot faster than than they went on. I used to restore late 60's early 70's muscle cars and like the looks of stripes. If you don't, fine. You could also just do one or the other ( top or side)

the top or the sides, just what I thought might look good to accent the cars sexy lines

Nice job, especially the side treatment.

I think it looks good - One of a kind and that makes it special - I like to see peoples ideas shared here

Not particularly a fan, but agree that uniqueness of the car for the owner is a plus.

I especially like the lower stripe below the strakes and above the rocker panel . Did you cut it yourself or have it made it ?

I am not a stripe fan generally, on this one I think they are too bold in colour, too wide and too many.
Everyone has different tastes or life would be too bland.
I’m not to fond of pin stripe suits either.😉🤪😛

something similar

Both the rear fender flare and the bottom strake just above the rocker panel have a primsmatic paint. The silver pin stripping is also painted. I was trying to give the side some depth, without being too loud.

I like the stripes. Here is another configuration for a similar color. I’m interested where you got your decals done. I need to replace mine. They are cracking.

that strip on the lower door. Did you personally cut this to fit I love it I want it in black. I've been looking for something to finish off my project it's nice but it's just bare on the side n I'm tired of the copy cat double slash in front of the rear wheel. I think I found that accent. Any help would be great.

Usually, when people start doing custom paint on our cars, I want to post the 'vomit' emoticon.

But that side view is really good. Really good. If it were me, that's all I would have done in this case.

I did something similar for lower side stripes with carbon fiber

Found some carbon fiber on Ebay cut & put it on just above the rockers

Pin stripes and door accent wrap. Sorry, the wing pics aren't very clear, but it is a douple pinstripe across the trailing edge.

I cut it using the straight edge from a 3 foot level and a box cutter

I just bought the 3M material and cut it to fit where I wanted it.There are several video's on utube that will show you how to lay out some stripping material and and there is even " cutting tape" that you can use to cut the edges where you want them by pulling the tape instead of precutting the vinyl

The Crossfire was a car designed to divide opinion.... add stripes to that mix and we are dealing with fractions!

Professional companies who vinyl wrap cars use a scalpel to cut off the excess / edges of the wrap etc (after it's applied to the car!!!). Saw it first hand once, when I was having my car done (not the Crossfire).

If that wrap gets removed, surely there will be hairline cuts in the vehicle paint also, in places. Not good!
Cutting tape however, sounds a safer alternative.
