So when I got my SRT6, the previous owner told me the inside door lock button didn't work. He also showed my that the overhead light doesn't work when the doors open.
I was reading in the SRT6 manual, and they say the door lock button only functions when the doors are closed.
My key reminder dings when ever I turn it to the off position.
I think my car thinks the doors are open.
Is this a common problem?
EDIT: SOLUTION FOUND. READ POST FROM ME BELOW

No. I've been here since 2009 and cant say I[ve heard of this one before.
But verifying the door switches is simple but not quite "EASY".
Tear the trim from the trunk.
Get to the CLP/SSM module on the passenger side.
Check the voltages at the pins I point to - voltage should change from 'high" (5 to 13 volts) with door open to "low" (about 0 to .1 volt) with door closed.
If you see corrosion and water intrusion on the connectors, replace the CLP/SSM and the last 2-3 feet of wiring harness, do not try to clean or "fix" the old wiring harness or pins. CLP/SSMs are available from "Parts Cars" for $75-150. Do not buy one on eBay, there are many parts cars around, we/I can direct you to one if this goes that far.
Perhaps verify that fuse is OK.
The service manual (which you can download from this forum) has the diagrams and connector pin layout in the wiring chapter.
I found the problem. It was really quite simple. Once I noticed where the push button switch just below the door latch, I pressed it, and EVERYTHING broken was fixed. I looked at the door sde of the latch, it's missing a "bezel" or trim piece that ordinarily pressed the button in. My door button is not getting pressed. eBay $15, got a pair off of an SLK320. The one in the picture is on ebay as a Crossfire part. I'm pretty sure it's the same thing.

This problem has been posted before and the issue solved at that time.
It was good to see the OP found out the cause, solved it himself and then posted the answer.
The part number will be on the back. It will also be in the parts lists of all the model years that I posted over fifteen years ago which most people do not know exist.
The Electronic parts list I also posted no longer works.
My post titled ‘Index of Crossfire Problems and Repairs’ is getting to contain obsolete information and should be updated, I just cannot be patient enough to do it.☹️

I appreciate the information contained here. I really appreciate the folks who have taken the time to post such detailed posts on fixes and resources.
I LOVE my car. I think now that I fixed this and the radio, I can honestly say I know of nothing wrong with the car except the drivers seat is stuck all the way to the roof. Lol. It is pretty high. I have shown off my taillights to a couple of different Mustangs recently. 😀 I've always wanted a Crossfire, but I didn't know about the SRT6 till I found this one. So I'm 20 years behind on you guys, but, I'm an electronics tech and I have a great mechanic.
............ and we appreciate someone who comes back and tells us the final story!! That means SO MUCH not only to those of us who try to help, but to those who come later looking for answers.
Of course, there is a lesson here: Sometimes, electrical issues are not electrical at all. As in this case.

The funny thing is that some good few years back I was doing some mod on the car and I had forgot to replace this same cover and wondered what had gone wrong with the interior lights and then I spotted the part laying on the floor. 🙄
