I'm up for it pending getting finished with a family event prior to 3pm. BTW, Greg's been pretty quiet lately save updating the celebrity obits. What's goin' on buddy?

Hey Rudy! Hope you can make it on the 19th. Then on the 21st, my wife and I will be taking the black base coupe to St. Louis. We're really looking forward to seeing FP down there. Is anyone else from Minnesota going to Crossfires Across America?

I was but conflicts with scheduling at work have now kept me from going. Hope you have a fun and safe trip. Hoping to at least make it to the tap on the 19th. It's gonna be close but I have an SRT so if I get out of there by 2:59, I should be there by 3!

I got the address today (Thanks) and now know where I will be going. I will be there at 3pm. Hope Rudy can make it. I hope it will be a "top down" day. My son Erik will be coming along for the ride. Karla is out of town on the 19th.

LOL! are you sure you're not gonna be proving Einstein's Theory of relativity, whereby you get to the Lion's Tap BEFORE you leave? With that SRT of yours you know it's theoretically possible!

I don't know if I will be there or not. As I had mentioned before we try to get to the camper every other week or so, and we haven't been last week, nor this week because of the poor weather on the weekends, so if it's nice we'll probably go down there. On the other hand, even if we do, I want to see about looking at some dogs that weekend, so perhaps we'll stay.

I had to put my dog of 13 years down on Mem weekend which was a real bummer. He apparently developed congestive heart failure and his chest cavity was filled with fluid and he was having a hard time breathing. They wanted between 1 and 2k just to figure out what was causing this, and I figured the end result was going to be the same, plus he was going blind, and even if "cured" his quality of life for the next 2 years at best would have been marginal. So hard decision, but had to be done. So now I get to look at another.

Anyway, hopefully I can make this run, it would be nice to see you guys. Mark

Sorry to hear about the dog, Mark.

Sounds like 3PM at Lion's Tap is a go! See you guys there.

BTW, is anyone planning on going to Veterans Memorial Park in Shakopee on Saturday (June 12th) for German Car Fest? It's going on from 9am - 2pm and there are usually a couple hundred German cars there (not sure if our X-Fires count...)

Are SLK32's welcome too? I'd be coming from Elk River. Could hook up with a group in Rogers?

I can't make it, I'm going to a DeLorean convention in Kentucky. These damn DeLorean things always happen when something interesting is going on here. I have to miss Back To The Fifties as well. Mark, I know what you went through with your dog. We had to put our 12 year old yellow lab down while we were on South Padre this winter. One of the hardest things I've ever done. We rescued a Border Collie a week later. It helped getting another dog.

Heck yeah! YOu're more than welcome to come hang out with us. Just remember though, they may have made your's first, but they got it right with ours. Just kidding. Look forward to meeting you and anyone else that wants to join us.

Take care all and BTW, First Gear Garage in Eden Prairie ROCKS!!! Just got home after putting the new diff in my car. So far everything is good.

I'm off to bed but you all have a great weekend and be safe.

thank you on your comments Bruce re: the dog. Sorry to hear of the loss of yours too. Hard to do after all those years with them, almost like a section of one's life being closed, and another part ready to open. I appreciate that. Mine was a Border too, sable and white. I'm looking for another as we speak. Did you get yours on the Midwest Border Collie Rescue site? Seeing one tonight, a Border cross with maybe a beagle. Shorter hair, but same personality and energy and characteristics as my last.

Too bad we won't see you this time, always glad to see you. I might not even be there either, but hopefully we all can get in a gathering at Lola's in Waconia, or maybe a stillwater, or Somerset WI gathering in the fall. That would be a nice gathering.

Ha! I thought about it for a couple days and I still don't have a comeback. At least mine's black.

Hope to see some folks out there...sounds like a good time.

For anyone that's in the NW area of town, I'll probably leave Rogers at 2:30 to be at Lion's Tap @ 3PM. I'll hang out in the Kohl's parking lot if anyone wants to caravan down.

Looking forward to meeting some folks.
