Default Central Locking Control Module case?

So i just want confirmation this is the unit i'm going to inspect this weekend.

I drove my car to work, parked it and 8 hours later i return but the keyfob wont work. opened it manually and set off the alarm. I dont have an SKREEM alarm because i had the issue of it going off randomly and decided to take it off all-together. but i knew the alarm was going off because of the blinking lights. got in, tried to start but i guess for security reasons, it wont allow me to start. checked the battery of the key fob looked good. pressed and held the lock and unlock or the lock and alarm button? (i forgot the sequence) and it blinked twice. puzzled. i called a friend to bring my spare key. still nothing. popped the hood. unplugged the battery and waited a bit. replugged and still not working. (at this point, i still cant get my car to start because the alarm is still going off and my car thinking it's still locked) so i remembered when i had issues with the SKREEM alarm module, i took out fuse #9 which in turn, kept my car quiet but also kept my car unlocked. that did the trick, everything unlocked and i can now start and stop my car normally.
searched the forums and it seems that the Central Locking module may be the case.

any tips on how to replace or check for faulty lines?

thanks in advance!

Start here . . .

Read everything . . . Look at all the pictures . . . Then get into the rear wells of your trunk area and let us know what you find . . .

If water has ruined your electronics, let us know and we'll show you how to seal up the leaks!

And to keep it out, you should nip a slot/hole in the two lower cavity drain hole plugs below the foam inserts under the jack kit (on both sides). You'll have to remove the lower trim on both sides and the rear lower trim below the hatch latch to be able to remove those foam inserts. I took a razor and sliced a very small (pie shapped) section out of the little 'nipple' sticking up into the well areas. The right side bay has the central locking module in there inside that foam 'box'. Carefully open that up and check closely for water damage as others have mentioned.

With the part visible like that I would put in the plugs and see if it is working. If it is the problem is obviously elsewhere

I have never known one to be dry in there. I would have to think your Central Locking Module is fine. Connect it back up. When you lock / unlock the car using the button on the dash, does everything lock and unlock as it should?

I had the same issue ,I unpluged one of the connectors ,so my doors lock and unlock alarm doesn't go off interior light don't come on when you open or unlock the doors but this will do for now.I drill a few extra holes in the trunk also,to prevent water buildup next time around.

UPDATE: sorry for taking so long but it seems the issue has been resolved. I waited for everything to dry off, cleaned all connections, put the fuse #9 back in and viola! it locks again. i as well drilled some holes so any water that seeps in would drain out. thanks for all the input and now i can park my car without the fear of it being stolen lol

Hi I know this is an old post but I see you mention you disconnected a plug and your central locking still worked. Can you please advice what plug you disconnected. Thanks Bob
