I assume your talking about your rear deck lid. I had this happened once and my rear window went down before the back deck lid and it ended up resting on the rear window. How I solved the problem was to raise the deck lid all the way back up to it's upright position with the ignition off. There must be a position switch that has to made for it to function, anyway with it in the upright position you should be able to go in turn the ingnition on and either lower or raise the top. good luck.
crossfirefrank is correct. Sometimes you can just turn the key off and back on and it will re-activate the system. If you stop the process in the middle of going up or down (which I have done several times to clean) it will sometimes not respond to the switch and usually I only have to cycle the key to make it start back up and if that does not work just turn the key off, pull it all the way up and try it again.
From page 53 of the owners manual:
10 minutes. Thirty seconds before the end of this
period an audible warning will begin to sound
continuously. At the end of this period, hydraulic
pressure will be released and the top and tonneau
cover will slowly collapse. In order to re-initialize
the top cycle, the tonneau cover must be lowered to
its full open position manually. Hands should be
kept away from moving parts of the top compartment
mechanism to avoid injury as hydraulic pressure
is reestablished. The hydraulic pressure can be
reestablished by turning the ignition to the ON/RUN
postion and pushing down on the convertible top
switch twice. Refer to Convertible Top Emergency
Operation in the What To Do In Emergencies section
of this manual.
