Door Handle Installation

Default Door Handle Installation

i just removed my extrurnal door handles to paint them black. i have no clue how to get them back on!! HELP

Did you drop the allen head screw into the door (the one that you removed by pulling back the weather strip)?

Take your time. Set the black gasket in place (it has two small hooks to hold on to the door) then slide the pull handle in and slide it forward into the catch on the door.

Then use your finger or a screwdriver to hook the flat metal latch (in the door) onto back of the handle. Eaiser if you have the door panel off, but can be done with it on. Once this is done it will stay in place (if you dont slide it back).

Fit the keyset into the door (you'll see where it goes) then screw the allen head bolt into it from behind the weather strip (long allen wrench needed).

thank you very much!! i will try this around noon wen i get out of work. how will i latch on handle by my hand with out taking the panel off? is it self explanatory?
