Spoiler motor, What has happened here?
Hi everyone! Hope all is enjoying their XFs as much as I do!
I have a N/A wing from a donor car and I found some erosion close to the spoiler motor. Any guesses what it could be the product of? may the motor still working? Is there a way to see if the motor is working without installing it to the car?
Regards,
PICS 2,3 show some erosion, have tried to sandpaper it away..

As a friendly side note- the word erosion refers to beaches and rocks being worn by the movement of water. Corrosion is when a metal is oxidized.

haha many thanks for helping me out with the vocabulary! Okay, it has corroded. The whole liftgate was "filled" with sand. It may have been driven in Vegas, California or FL. Somewhere with a lot of sand. So I guess that rules it out. It may have gotten the sand from when it was crashed.

N/A for summer
I like them both. The front spoiler of the SRT is soooo good-looking.
Did not really understand but as you state, that will provide power yes.. but I do not have the N/A BCM, which outlet give power from the SRT one? do not have the docs here at work.
I guess I will do the wiring in 2 weeks time and then try the motor. As I will change wings during seasons the cable will be laid anyhow.
laters!
and have a good one!
